Before Jeff could think of how to hide the Chronivac from his dad, he hears his mother shout for him, “JEFF, I NEED YOUR HELP IN THE GARDEN!”
Jeff groans, 'why does she have to call me when I have other stuff to do,' the teen asks himself, 'let's minimize the program, that is the fastest way.' The boy stands up from his chair and hastily clicks on the mouse, before turning and hurrying down the stairs, yelling, “COMING, MOM!”
The boy, however, is unaware that, in his haste, he had not minimized the program. Instead he opened up a package, a window opens, which resembles the American car search and dealer page “Cars.com”, it even has the same name like the original site.
While Jeff is busy in the garden, he is unaware that his dad is on his way up to use the family computer. The man is a vintage car lover but also enjoys modern cars, his love for cars started when he was just six years old. He is a car mechanic, who runs his own garage, which includes a chop-shop. The man planned for a long time to get his hands on a vintage Rolls Royce Phantom from the 1930s, but he has been unable to finance it... until now. Jeff's dad over the course of several years, he had saved the amount he needs to purchase such a car: 400.000,00 USD!
As Mike, Jeff's dad, walks by his son's room, he notices his son's Laptop running and catches a glimpse of what is on the screen, the man stops and looks closer, “why is Jeff on a car dealer's page,” the man asks himself. The man walks into his son's room and sits down at his laptop, Mike is about to close the window, when he suddenly gets an idea. “Since Jeff already has a car dealer page open, I could see if they have the car I want,” he says to himself, “Jeff won't mind if I use his computer.”
The man clicks into the search field of the “website” and types in the car he is looking for, he adds the color royal-blue with white and chrome parts and his price limit, then clicks on “search”. Around 20 results pop up and the man's eyes sparkle, “wow... so many and they all look in great condition,” he breaths.
Mike clicks on the first result and reads through the description, “the first one is already amazing,” he mumbles to himself as he reads the description, “it says that it can be “shipped” within two weeks and the shipment does not cost extra. I got to have it,” so without hesitation, the man clicks on “pay and order”. A window with a message pops up, the message reads, “are you sure you want to place the order?”
Jeff's dad of course confirms the order, a second message pops up, “thanks for placing your “order”,” it says, “how long would you like the change to last: 1 week, 1 month, 1 year or permanent?”
Mike raises an eye brow, “weird question,” he mutters, then he shrugs and clicks on “permanent”.
The last message which pops up reads, “thanks for using “Cars.com” for your purchase,” with that the screen turns black.
Mike raises an eyebrow, "weird, it should send me to the payment page," he mumbles, then he shrugs, "maybe the seller would prefer the money in cash when he brings the car arround in two weeks. Boy I can not wait!"
Unaware to Mike, Jeff had been scanned by the program, the Chronivac adds the changes to Jeff's stats, the boy's awareness is left on, while his and the rest of the family's awareness is of. Mike would only become aware if he'd experience or notice something different about Jeff, like the way the boy acts by, for excample, Mike accidently sees Jeff drinking petrol/gasoline, or noticing a part of Jeff's body changing.
The transformation will take two weeks until completed and during that time is unable to be reversed or cancled. Jeff would transform each day a little bit more, each day something else about the boy will change. The 16-year-old will be aware of every change or strange urge he might feel, he'll probably try to ignore the urges and try to figure out what is going on, but he'll be unsuccessful.
