As you walked, the heat continued to increase. Your body was coated in a layer of sweat, all of your clothing now drenched. You stank like a gym locker, you were tired and you were still lost. As you continued to walk, you stepped over a large root, pushed through thick palm tress and through an archway covered in thick vines. You turned back, slightly confused at that strange feature in the forest, only to find it gone.
Instead you saw a vast jungle, and in a panic, you turned forward to see more jungle. You turned upwards and saw tall trees fit for climbing, trees filled with fruit and strong vines to swing on. You shook you aching head clear, why were you thinking of such things. You stumbled forward, the heat aching your soaking body. You stumbled clumsily as your shoe got stuck in a muddy puddle. With a bit of force, you freed your foot from the mud, but lost your shoe.
You shrugged, might as well lose them. You threw off your remaining shoes and socks, briefly considering the logic in this, but ignored your thoughts and ditched them behind you.
The feeling of your bare feet against the moist earth felt soothing…really nice… As you walked, the heat continued to rise. You clumsily threw away your shirt, revealing your bare, scrawny chest to the world. You moved forward though the jungle, feeling an itchiness in your groin beginning to stir. You tuned down to your now uncomfortable, wet jeans, and again shrugged. You pulled them off, slowly feeling more desperate to remove them. You tossed them aside into the busses next to you, not noticing them vanish into moss.
Finally, you looked down at your underwear. You told yourself not to do this, that something wasn’t right here, that you should look for a way out. Again, you shrugged. He said you couldn’t find a way home naked? Beside, you felt like you’d be more comfortable in this heat without all this stuff weighing you down. With one last item gone, you stood naked in a strange jungle, but far more comfortable.
Now for a way out.
