You know how sometimes you are just bored in your room and you don't know what to do, yet you don't want to go to sleep just yet despite the fact that it's 3 am already? I always feel like I'm going to lose somehow if I just go to sleep without doing an activity of some kind. Who am I competing against? No clue, it's just a thought that comes to my mind whenever it happens.
This, of course, is one of those nights. I couldn't help myself but browse through the internet trying to find something to do. After a missclick, I minimize my browser and notice the 'The Sims 4' icon waiting cheerfully in my desktop. I hadn't played it in ages and I knew there had to be a lot of new expansions that I had yet to install. Curiosity, however, made me open back up my browser and look up if there were any new ones or a new installment. The Sims 5 or just the list of new content I didn't have.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that wasn't just pure speculation or news of "what is to come" without actually giving any details of what is to come if the game was ever released. Strangely so, for some reason, I ended up even searching for info on the 3rd google page. No one ever goes beyond the first half of the first page whenever they google something, in extreme odd cases you go to the second when there's something really weird, dark, or specific that you're looking for. But the third? It was probably the lack of sleep that made me loose focus of what I was doing, right? I was about to close the page and go to youtube or something when a link drew me in.
"The Sims 9 - A world changing game"
It didn't say anything else beyond that. How could it skip from 4 to 9? I had no idea, but maybe it was a fan-made game or something and I couldn't help but click the link. Maybe I was about to find a hidden gem, I thought as the page loaded. The very first few seconds showed the website to be completely white, then... strangely so, it turned black. I was about to reload the page thinking my internet was having issues when suddenly the screen showed me a bunch of numbers moving up and down extremely fast. The feeling was so overwhelming that, before I knew, everything went dark.
I woke up the next morning with a huge headache. Thankfully it was Saturday morning and I had no pressing responsibilities to take into acount. My head was exploding so I decided to just stay in bed with my eyes closed for a few more hours. Then, slowly but surely, as the headache started to wane, memories of what had happened last night started to comeback to me. Inmediately, once I remembered everything, I jumped and looked at my computer. It, apparently, had rebooted itself.
However, as my attention started to grasp reality and now that I was fully awake, I noticed something strange in the corner of my eye. When I paid attention to it, a window opened up in front of me showing all the data of my household along with the members living inside with a cute icon. "Would you like to edit this Household?"
"What the fuck..."
