Meadow suddenly realized that her shift for her part-time job at Starbuck's would start soon. She highly doubted her boss would take "I just grew the cavewoman pelt of my dreams, so I wanted to stay home and masturbate" as a legitimate excuse for being late. She threw on the most revealing clothes she could find (so as to properly show off her new plumage), and she ran off to get a ride to the coffee shop.
At Starbuck's, Meadow relished all the attention her new girlfur was getting. Some people shot her disapproving looks of disgust, while others appeared to be ogling her. Meadow then noticed a very pretty Chinese girl standing in line. She was very fit, and her shiny black hair was chin-length. She was dressed in a sleeveless basketball jersey, cargo pants, a backwards baseball cap, and tennis shoes. Meadow was pretty sure she'd seen this girl around her college campus, usually with a skateboard tucked under her toned arm.
The Chinese tomboy finally got to the front of the line. "Okay, don't laugh, but I'd like a pumpkin spice latte. Yeah, I know, it's basic bitch crap, but I like the way it—" The girl cut herself off, her eyes suddenly glued to Meadow's hairy arms and her very obvious armpit fur. "Oh, WOW! DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN but that's some sweet fuzz!"
Meadow smiled. "Thanks. I'm Meadow. Meadow Larkin."
"Cute name," said the girl. "Name's Lucy Wong. Damn, but I wish I could grow body hair like that. I don't shave either, but I ain't got nothing to show for it." As soon as Meadow turned around with the latte, Lucy raised her bare arm, revealing a pit gently dusted with a thin whisp of sparse dark hairs, no more impressive than what Meadow had once been stuck with.
"Yeah," Meadow sighed. "That's pretty bad."
"The downside of being Chinese, I guess," Lucy shrugged. "We're not a very hairy people. But what can you do, right?"
Meadow grinned. "Plenty. I used to have body hair just like you, but just look at me now!"
Lucy's eyes widened. "How did you DO it?!"
Meadow glanced around the coffee shop. "Not here. It's a huge secret. Here, come by my place once I get of work. Around 6:30 should be real great." She handed Lucy a card with her address as her new friend paid for her drink.
"Will do!" said a very excited Lucy. "Bye!"
