The Magic Shop

Her bestie appears!

"Hmm, I swear I was about to change the store... but why didn't I? Why would I even try to change my favorite shoe place?" She whispered to herself, attempting to make sense of it all. That's when her train of thought was quickly derailed. She nearly jumped as the ring to her phone startled her.

"Oh, it's them ." She remarked, checking the caller ID. "I wonder what they want." She thought before answering.

Just as she began to place it near her ears, a sudden THUD stunned her as something, or someone collided with her. Jenna nearly dropped the phone, but just managed to catch it before it left her reach for good. Her heart raced, as she nearly lost the most powerful and valuable object on the planet. She furrowed her eyebrows, then turned to enter full Karen mode.
"Now listen HERE you... Francine?" She gasped, suddenly finding herself eye to eye with her best friend.

"Oh gawd there you are Jen! I've been looking for youse all over the place." Francine giggled, fixing her purse which had nearly fallen from her shoulder.

Jenna looked over her friend. She was the same age as Jenna, 45, but was looking slightly older than her in age. The two gals had met in their college years, where they had been the hottest cheerleaders on campus. Jenna got there through Daddy's money, whereas Francine had always just been a bit more... persuasive with big wigs, especially men.

She had a curly mop of brunette hair which grayed ever so slightly, long hoop earnings, and a ton of makeup. She wore her one piece tan dress, matched with her purse and dark tan etched shades. Normally shorter than Jenna, she currently looked to her friend at eye level thanks to her high heels and Jenna's soft flats.
"...Wait, why am I examining my bestie so hard?" She wondered, shaking off the uncertainty yet again.

"Fran, you nearly gave me a heart attack! Not to mention you almost broke my phone." Jenna snapped, still lingering her anger somewhat.

"Oh relax Jen, it's not like you can't replace either." She scoffed, giving her typical rich girl chuckle.

"I'm not worried about the phone, I'm worried about what's on it." Jenna explained.

"Whadda you mean?" Fran asked, somewhat intrigued.

"Crap." Jenna thought. "Listen, forget it Fran, you came here... to shop with me, let's do that." Jenna added, somewhat pausing on remembering why they were here. Something in the back of her mind was bugging her, but what?

"No no no, you gotta spill." Fran laughed.

"You know what, sure." Jenna sighed. "It's probably better to show someone else anyway."

"What's that?" Francine asked confused as Jenna showed her the app.

"It's going to be hard to believe, so I think I should just show you." Jenna replied, letting Francine hold onto the phone.

Francine wanted to be sassy or sarcastic, but her friend's odd behavior had officially peaked her interest. She watched her friend tap on an icon, then point towards a teenage boy listening to music on a bench.
"Now, I've selected his icon. This allows you to change one word in a sentence that generates about whoever you pick. Then, it becomes true."

Francine listened to her friend, not believing it, until suddenly, her entire worldview changed. The boy sitting at the bench changed instantly. His black hair was now curly and past his shoulders, he had a pair of breasts, wide hips, and was dressed somewhat nicer but still grunge, alongside new black makeup across her face... it was then that she realized that this boy had ACTUALLY transformed into a girl version of himself.

"What... the... hell..." Francine mumbled, her jaw fully dropped.

"Like I said, it changes everything... can't replace this." She added, brushing her hair out of her eyes to better look at her shocked friend. A smirk grew on her face, as admittedly showing off was filling her with pride.

"And- and nobody notices?!" She asked.

"Not even him-er, her. As far as she's concerned, she's always been this way." Jenna added. "I've experimented a bit with some shops here and there."

"Wait, shops? Like, you can change whole locations too?!" Francine asked.

"Yeah, though it's a bit... different, though I can't really place why." Jenna explained, her smirk fading.

"Jen. Look at me." Francine replied with a straight face. "Do you realize what this means?" She asked.

"What?" Jenna asked, somewhat surprised with her friend's response.
