"So, have we seen enought?"
"I believe we have seen enought, gentlemen."A bald man dressed with as an officer looked at the man at his right," ¿Stevenson? Open a line with...our friends."
"Understood."
"¿Commander Kennedy?"
A middle aged man with a tablet spoke to the rest of the table.
"The Predator is in position," He looked at the screen like he was confirming something. "Ready to drop when you say so."
"Channel open."
The central screen on the wall came on, this time showing the face of a woman in her 40s but with catlike features looking at the group with her bright, green eyes.
"You were right, madam. Doctor Yvonne and the volunteer have been compromised."
"I'm sorry you had to witness that. But your need to understand what the Conversion can do to your people."
"So, this is not a simple virus."
"Sorry, but not. When these beings invaded my world, the first thing my goverment tried to do to defeat them, was to find a way to turn the latex against the hybrids. The result was the same. A week later, their spies had infiltrated all the branches of the army. "
"Are you sure that you can't help us to defeat these...hybrids."
"Our fleet is composed by millions of beings that ran away from these creatures, general Anderson. Most escaped with what they had at hand others like my kind were more organized and sended weapons and battleships. But we are the minority."
"So, ¿there is no way that you can defeat them?
"even if we sent our fleet to your homeworld and defeat them, they will simply sent another battle group. A bigger one."
"What are your recommendations?."
"The blueprints that we sent to your laboratories, will help you to built a teleporter. If you could built it we could sincronize with one of ours and transport your people outside the Earth.
"But not everyone."
"Not. I'm really sorry. I'm afraid we can only afford to host a small part of your population, nothing more."
"¿How many?"
"5 millons."
The catlady's words fell like bricks on those gathered n that room.
"Fucking god..."
The old man in the middle of the room spoke for all of them.
"We will send you our response, but first..." He turned to another screen that showed the location of the secret laboratory from the skies. "We must take care of this situation."
The alien cat lady shaked her head.
"Killing a lesser queen won´t solve your current situation. She is a pawn like every other creature that conforms The Hive."
"Maybe, but we can gain some time before they find another candidate, ¿commander Kennedy?"
"Our observers confirmed that one of the enemy ships had just abandoned it´s former position in the landing zones. now it's moving to the laboratory. Time until the arrival: ten minutes."
"Understood. Send the signal to the Predator. I want that place gone before the ship arrives."
