Experimentally, Leah took a few steps in the clothes, but tripped almost immediately. If she needed to run off for some reason, she would never be able to get away in big clothes. With a sigh of defeat, Leah took off the big clothes and walked down the hall to Holly’s bedroom.
In the very first drawer she opened, Leah found diapers. Fighting back her dread and discomfort, she took one out and clumsily taped it on. Some part of her that had been worried about her potty training felt assuaged, knowing that if she were to have an accident now, it wouldn’t go all over the place.
Leah wandered around the room, collecting an outfit. She decided upon a cute yellow sundress with pink flowers on it and a matching pink diaper cover, as well as yellow sandals. Once she had dressed herself, she walked up to a floor-length mirror to look at her reflection. Sure enough, she looked like a proper toddler.
She didn’t look like she should be in preschool, she looked like she should be in daycare. The diaper was definitely the biggest culprit. Not only was it visible underneath her annoyingly short dress, but it was thick enough to spread her legs apart, resulting in the distinctive toddle of a toddler. Leah frowned. She went back to one of the drawers and pulled out a pair of tights.
The tights thankfully hid the diaper for the most part, making Leah seem a tad bit older in her eyes, though she was absolutely still the picture of an adorable toddler girl.
Now dressed, Leah had to decide her next move.
