Darkness welcomed her back to the world of the living.
The pitch black wasn´t comforting at all. But it was better than other alternatives.
The cold of space for example.
"Hello!"
No response.
"Fucking hell."
"k ... nn ..."
...
A voice, but nobody was there with her.
“Kennie...”
The voice sounded clear now, even better, it sounded familiar to the ace.
"Shali?, Shali!"
Before she could step forward, her favorite cat lady, manifested herself into thin air. sinking all hopes she had to find her dearest friend inside that creepy place.
That wasn´t Shali. Just a projection. A pre-recorded message put into her nanos.
"Listen carefully; You have been captured by the Futas. You are inside one of their Motherships. But you have not yet been infected with the Latex virus." A blanked state. She must be checking something. “Your change is progressing at an optimal rate. It should be over IN-10-MINUTES.”
The voice cracked at the end, becoming more metallic and devoid of personality. Confirming her assumptions that she was talking to a machine.
"What I can do?"
“The seal of your fighter should protect you, for now.”
"Good to know. Can you wake me up?"
"Yes, but I do not recommend it. The process is currently in its final phase. If you are injured it could be interrupted leaving you defenseless against the enemy."
"I'm finished anyway if the futas open the cockpit."
the hologram seemed upset for not being unable to offer herassistance.
"I'm afraid I can't offer you any tactical advice about your current situation, Kennie. But whatever you decide, I recommend you to hurry up."
