"Okay, I admit I've calmed down." Caleb said softly.
"Good." Gloria replied.
"I'm not as mad as I was at the door." Caleb continued.
"Glad to hear it." Gloria replied back.
"But you have to let me out of this chair so I can make the world safer with one less vampire." Caleb said as he struggled in the chair he was sitting in, which was coiled by magic. He sat directly across from Duke who was also tied down by magic in a chair.
"Do I really have to be held down as well? Sasha already interrogated me once doing this." Duke asked.
"Sorry boys, but until you two can be in the same room without attacking each other, you're both going to be held down in these chairs." Felicia told the two of them.
"This is stupid...he's a..." Caleb began.
"Damphir. Similar, but distinct from vampires. Might I remind you, it's the middle of the day and he is still alive." Sasha pointed out.
"It's just an act, you let your guard down and that monster will just..."
"YOU DON'T KNOW ME!" Duke shouted stomping his foot down.
The room fell silent as Duke began to speak.
"Do you honestly know what it's like to try and please your father and be looked at as a disgrace? Do you know that I can cry tears at losing a mother who wanted to keep me pure of heart? Do you know what it's like to be locked in a cage for seven years with your own kind mocking you? Being fed one meal a day? I may have the powers of a monster, but I'm no monster....I'm no monster..." Duke finished as he began to cry.
Sasha let him loose from the chair and went to give him a hug as he cried on her shoulder.
"So like I said, we have some information we wanted to share with you." Gloria said as Caleb looked up at her.
"Like the fact that you guys are wizards." Caleb correctly guessed.
"Yes, but we've only used it for good, or to help others." Gloria listed off.
"Or for a good night of fun with your boyfriend or girlfriend, especially when she nibbles on my..." Jackie to say before getting off topic and realized her friends were looking at her as she stopped and blushed bright red on her whole face.
"My point being, we use magic for good and we want to help fight off these vampires as well, and who better to help than one who knows all about that than one of their own?" Gloria explained.
Caleb looked at Gloria, then to Duke and Sasha, then back to Gloria.
"Alright, I promise to not use my weapons or try and kill.....Duke....was it? But if I think for one moment that he's going to kill any of you..." Caleb warned them.
"Which he won't." Sasha said holding Duke tightly.
"Regardless of that, I am ready to listen to what he has to tell me." Caleb sighed.
