Her heart almost pounded right out of her chest. Jennifer felt the irresistable urge to be with Ben. She slipped through the crowd and stood before him, eyes intently focused on his.
"Hey, Jen. I'm glad you could make it," Ben smiled. Jennifer's heart beat even faster. Her lips curled in a sly smile and she slowly came closer to his body.
"I'm glad you invited me," she replied. "I can't think of anyone throwing a party more exciting than yours." She motioned an obligatory batting of the eyelashes.
She could see Ben having a reaction, though he was clearly trying to fight it. His face turned red and he looked nervously around the room. "Uh...this party's not that exciting. Just a lot of people...talking and drinking."
