“So, there was something else that I wanted to ask you about,” Tad asked Connor. “It’s somewhat regarding your transformation last night.”
“Oh, what did you want to know?” Connor responded.
“I wanted to ask if your transformation confirmed anything for you about your sexuality.”
Connor was caught slightly off guard by Tad’s question. Before he had been transformed into a Werewildcat, he had been struggling with his sexuality. He wasn’t sure if this was just a phase that would pass or if it was what he actually wanted. Meeting Ryan had definitely confirmed for Connor that he was attracted to males, and the previous night supported that conclusion even more.
“Are you not ready to talk about it yet?” Tad asked, snapping Connor out of his recollection of events prior to the previous night. “You’ve been quiet for a few minutes, and I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
“No no! I’m fine!” Connor quickly reassured his best friend. “I was just…lost in thought, I guess.”
“So, we know for a fact that you’re into guys,” Tad said. “And even if you weren’t before, you most definitely are now. So what does that make you? Gay? Bi?”
“I think I can say with a certain degree of confidence that I’m bisexual,” Connor responded. “Last night, I did look up a few pictures of good-looking women, and I did find them attractive. Although, I think I might lean a bit more towards men as of right now.”
Tad smiled and patted his friend on the back. “I'm glad to hear you got some of the answers you’ve been looking for,” he said.
“Thanks man,” Connor replied, giving his friend a smile. “It feels great to know that you've still got my back.”
“Why wouldn’t I?” Tad asked with a chuckle. “I mean, we’ve been friends since we were, what, 13 years old, and you think I’d stop being your friend because you like men?”
“Well, I suppose that’s one of the big things that was giving me such a hard time with figuring things out,” Connor responded. “Although when you put it like that, it does sound really stupid.”
“Damn right it does,” Tad laughed, giving his friend a playful punch on the arm.
