One time when you were watching a movie with the gal pals outside of a stream. You were lazily sprawled on a bean bag, limbs randomly around as you were in a comfortable position of sorts. One of your arm over your left chest... You thought about something for a sec and then you blurted out loud "...I think my hearts not beating..."
Victoria asked "Well you're a zombie aren't you?"
You responded "I'm playing a zombie, but... I'm alive aren't I?"
Yuka giggled a bit and said "Yeah, alive... as a Zombie."
"How can I be alive without a heart though?" you said really concerned now
Julie said "Dunno, that's a neat trait you've got though."
Victoria asked "Wait... Quill did you read your contract thoroughly?"
"Not really... I was kind of dying when they offered the operation."
"Ah, can understand that. You see you think we're actually in the real world don't you?"
"Well we're Real Life V-streamers right?"
"Well we aren't really V-streamers if we were in the real world would we? We'd just be Streamers."
"I thought the V-streamer thing was just a label for this anime type stuff..."
"Nope We are V-streamers and this is our Real Lives, didn't you notice most of us rarely ever go outside? There isn't really an outside to go out to... at least without a destination in mind."
You got up out of your seat and kind of shambled your way to the door now wondering if this walk of yours was designed or not. You reached for the front door for the first time, and opened the door. As you tried to walk through the door a message popped up saying "You have not been granted access to any new locations."
Yuka said "Victoria... You're kinda closer to Quill in this instance... Why don't you explain?"
Victoria got up with her bulky body and walked over to you and put her large hand on your shoulder and asked "So... Shall I explain the deal I got?"
"If you could." you asked unsure what was going on.
"Not sure if you'd believe it, but I was just some weakling girl with barely functioning legs since birth. Was cheerful and everything and loved looking at sports, and eventually I passed the audition for this thing. My body was already not working so well so... My brain got digitized and here I am in this form. I can finally move the way I like, and in theory I can just keep doing this idol thing for as long as I can remain relevant. Even after this I can just make enough money to pay for virtual rent, and my life is a lot more fun and fulfilling. That being said yeah we're all virtual... still alive, but in cyberspace." Victoria turned to Yuki and mouthed "Could you contact our managers?"
"Wow... when did renderings get so life like?" you muttered half sane
"They explained it as our brains filling in details. Everything's fine... Just calm down and we'll take in everything... also maybe get you a therapist... Actually could maybe use a session or two myself..."
The managers weren't happy with the development, but considering this was probably going to happen. They'd allow for you to have a day or two off with Victoria. Maybe turn it into something special.
