Maxwell thanked the heavens for the flickering darkness of the room because what he is about to do is going to cause clamor when the other nobles found out. He stretched out his hand and took first control of the beastkin. An overwhelming sense of danger flooded the instincts of the beastkin. He wanted to get away from this place as far as possible, and yet, he seems to be stuck mid-air. Suddenly, he saw his arms collapse on themselves. Those claws that sliced throats open, reduced themselves to a pair of paws akin to a fluffy cat. His wonderful mane receded, his fangs turned dull, and his body diminished to that of a stuffed toy. When the beastkin woke up, the world around him is huge, like it would swallow him up. He felt someone grab him by the tail and pull him up. It's the Vanderbilt with a sword and by the smirk on his face, he seems to be like the Beastkin's current predicament.
Sensing what happened to their comrade, the stranger and the seductress stopped in their tracks and aimed for the ceiling window. The stranger is faster and the seductress lagged, which is the reason why Maxwell got her first. The world around the seductress gradually turned bigger. No. It wasn't the world around her. It was she who is getting smaller. She unfurled her wings and tried to flee. But alas! The robe she wore weighed her down. When she got it off her shoulders, she felt a hand grab her by her entire waist. It's the wizard of the Vanderbilts. Mizik placed her in a jar apt for her miniature size.
Maxwell turned to apprehend the stranger but she was already out of range. He was about to use his air magic to follow her but his father grabbed him by the shoulder and told him to let her go. The guards are already alerted and they must tend to the panicking guests.

"Well, that is a bummer thanks to these two assholes," Matthias said to their apprehended assassins jailed in a small metal cage made for pets. The beastkin is reduced to the size of a small cat, and he looks like one too if not for the bushy mane. The seductress is given a handkerchief to robe herself, but she threw it out when she realized that it was a Vanderbilt who gave it to her.
"Wh- what did you do to us?" The beastkin snarled, or at least, he tried to. He tried to look menacing but all that came out are cute mewls of an innocent little kit. "This is foul magic! As expected of a Vanderbilt."
"I know many magics but this is far from being foul," Mizik said. "Quite the opposite, so to say."
"I know right?" Matthias picked the Beastkin from his cage and placed him on his lap. Then he started stroking its mane, which made the beastkin collapse from the overwhelming sense of pleasure.
"St- stop! Ah! Ye- yeah… there- there… stroke me there." Within moments, the beastkin fell to sleep, leaving the seductress bare to the Vanderbilt's interrogation.
Deidrick sipped on his midnight tea. The situation may have ended but this would be the topic for ages. An intruder in the Vanderbilt manor? That is a serious blow to the might of their family name. They are supposed to be the guardians of the realm against invaders and yet, they cannot even protect their own residence. Looking at the seductress he asked, "Why did you disturb this celebration and attempted to harm my family?"
"You won't get anything from me," the seductress snarled.
"I am sorry if I haven't made myself clear yet. If you don't cooperate with us, becoming small would be the least of your problems. I am excluded in the extent of my son's imagination but I believe he could conjure something worse. So what do you say? Shall we start again?"
The seductress spat, it didn't reach far and it looked like a small glint in the air. "Curse you and your kind,"
Deidrick looked at Maxwell and nodded.
