The Pudgy swooped out of the tree. Her coat opened in the front and turned to short wings, as she glided in position for a deep dive. Her feet were naked, with longer toes than normal, and her nails were sharp.
Annie charged, ducked and avoided the attack. She grabbed the coat and her own nails bit in the fabric, as the Pudgy hollered at first, then squeaked at last, hitting the ground.
„Got you!“ Annie turned around, but the Pudgy was still on her feet, throwing sand in her face and ripping herself free.
Your pager once again exclaimed, that your Heatguana´s stats were lowered.
„Annie!“, you called, „You are not so accurat anymore!“
Annie rubbed the sand out of her eyes, a few tears rolling down her cheeks. „Oh yeah?“ She slashed, but failed, and more sand flew in her face.
„It´s the Wiggle once again!“, you explained, somewhat excited to see real strategy at work, from a wild BeastMon nontheless. „Truly the new Meta!“ You had played the Other Games about this topic, with cute animals instead of this kind, but more as a fleeting experience. Some friends of yours told you about Competitive – your game memory said, it was Rick – but … oh well.
You were almost disappointed, as Annie defeated the new Meta trough a Claw Attack, which connected. Pudgy met the dirt face-first, and the Heatguana set her foot firmly on her enemies nape.
„Now“, she growled, „Experience for me, and faint for you!“
You threw the Cube in just the right moment. The Cube? Yes, the Professor gave you a few Cubes, because he felt just a little bad about the whole „Rick prepared everything“-Situation from last time. And now, you yourself felt a little bad about throwing an object with such sharp edges at a tiny creature, but it was for it´s best.
The BeastCube hit it´s mark, and Pudgy seemed to disintegrate into blue light, zapping into the Cube. The dice landed, wiggled a little, then laid still.
Annie glared at it. „Oh, fantastic. A good Cube, just thrown away.“
You thought about the battle with Rick, and how he called Heatguana a bully. You took the Cube and looked at it with satisfaction.
„You know, Annie? Since you are actually a human, this would be my first BeastMon.“
Annie shrugged at that. „Congratulations, then. At least I gained Exp from this.“
You proceeded your way through Route 1, beating up a few mice and pidgeons on the way. The mice were boys, toothy and somehow nerdy, and you felt not thaaat bad about them getting slung through the bushes.
Maybe you were a bit of a bully yourself?
After a few fights, your Heatguana learned Flame Spit, and the last patches of grass were a cakewalk. You reached Ercu City, and entered the BeastMon Center.
