The Worldwide School of Animalia is a little bit of a misnomer, or at least a misleading name. The school wasn't quite worldwide in itself. It mostly meant that it accepted students from all around the world. The colonies had been mainly set up as resorts and residential areas. Not quite as much thought has been put into education facilities as there should have been. That wasn't to say that there were no schoolhouses in the colonies. There were plans for Dinosaur City to build their own WSA, which would be a lot more accommodating for the much larger Dinotopian students. As of now, they were mainly on Glen Rose's education system. Fortunately, there weren't so many Dinotopians students yet.
Other colonies had a bit more forethought into the matter. For instance, but Maelewano and New Zerzura have schools. Maelewano currently had more since it mainly accepted refugees from other countries. Juliet was planning on making a more proper schoolhouse as part of the colony, which would surely not just be catering to adult services and fantasies.
Though probably one of the biggest expansions in Animalia's education system was the WSA that was set up on Heiya Island. Originally, that school was meant to be teaching about bushido and the samurai way. But it was decided that a more rounded and balanced education was required for students. And there were plenty of students, namely in the form of those who have been rescued from slaving rings. There had been too many who had no family to return or wanted to go back to. And if they wanted to live independent and productive lives, they needed a broader education than just how to swing a sword. Of course, not all of the new students agreed with this.

"I don't see why I have to put up with this," said Liao in annoyance.
"Because you need to be more than just a warrior," said Tuxing, "Warriors can't just go out into the world and earn a living on their fighting skills. Life isn't a video game."
"Isn't that what you and your sisters do?" asked Liao.
"Not truly," said Tuxing, "We are a special case. And you're not the one with business endorsements for being in manhou and manga."
"I could be," said Liao, "Isn't Nate going to be part of that series?"
"Not as he would truly be represented," said Tuxing, "Besides, a girl your age needs to complete your education."
"My age? You're technically younger than me and I'm already fully grown," protested Liao. Liao was only 16 when she had gotten the single dose that turned her into a tiger Animalian. It was only a single dose because she already been stressed enough over the loss of her family without being rushed into adulthood. But that was two years ago. The young tigress was reaching maturity. She was only relatively smaller than her mentor, just showing she had a little more growing to do. But while Tuxing had been gifted her muscles by her double-dosing, Liao had earned hers through hard work. She might be finished developing in the curves department, but there was still a few years of potential growth yet.
"Again, we are a special case," said Tuxing, "You shouldn't shun the chance to have a normal teenage life and make new friends."
"I lost that chance when I lost my family," said Liao bitterly.
"Liao, you can't spend your life in bitterness. Even Muxing has learned to loosen up and let go," said Tuxing. There was a significant pause of disbelief before Tuxing added, "A little."
Liao sighed and said, "Ok, it's only for one senior year anyways, right?"
"Well, that depends on how well you're able to cope with senior-grade lessons," said Tuxing, "You may have to start where you left off."
"What?!" snapped Liao, "I have to spend two years dressed like this?" This local WSA branch was mainly modeled after the high schools in Japan. That included uniforms for the students. It was a bit tricky getting some of the Animalian students the right uniforms, though they were outfitted in time for the first day of class.
"Oh, don't worry about that," said Tuxing, "I doubt those uniforms are going to stay around long."
"Because they represent a conformity to gender roles which may against individual preferences and identifications?" asked Liao. It seemed like everything these days was all about people being anything but the traditional categorization of 'male' and 'female'. Even without considering sexual preferences, there were still transsexuals and non-binary people, whatever the latter meant.
"That and all these uniforms would be more laundry work than people are wanting to deal with," said Tuxing, "You can blame anime for people even wanting to try this uniform thing to begin with. Though it's also because of anime that you're going to have some interesting classes." One of the main things that made Heiya Island's WSA stand out was that they had extracurricular activities and elective classes that other schools didn't. Quite a lot of students have signed up for the kendo and ninjitsu classes and their related clubs. The school's unofficial name was 'Samurai Prep' for a reason.
Liao sighed and said, "Ok, fine. But they better not try to hold me back."
"Prove they don't need to," said Tuxing.
