A buzzing and droning was heard, far away, as you all stood around Josh and his motionless form. You pricked up your ears at the sound, which was growing louder by the second. "What might that be?" Your BeastMon listened to, in silent. Even Josh the Kokuna had stopped his whining.
"Trouble", Annie said finally. It was the first time you heard your Heatguana speaking so ... intimidated. "We should go."
"Really?", you asked with a hint of worry in your voice. "No Time to gain a level from you? Thatīs rare."
"Look, itīs just a whiff", Annie replied, "but this Forest Queen might be coming along herself, and she might be fully evolved. Not a child, not even a teenager. But an adult. And I donīt wanna fight such a monster, when our only evolved Beastie is just that muppet." She nodded in Joshīs direction.
"Okay." You got Joshīs Cube and called him back. "No time to carry you, sorry."
"Usually", Racer cooed comforting at the Cube, "our trainer is nicer. Soon you will be free again!"
"Letīs go already!", Annie hushed, as the ruckus was growing only louder. You looked up, saw the sky through the treetops and a flying figure. You saw glittery, insectile wings. Then you ran.
"To think that you took a Seatle as a worthy opponent", you said, as you were all running or, for Racer, gliding along the forest trail, "but the Queen of a forest full of fire-weak beasties might be too much."
"To gain a level, you must not faint. And the power of Evolution is nothing you should be casual about."
"Yeah, yeah, I know."
You crossed paths with a bug catcher, who came towards you, but charged by. "Arcea take me!", he cursed, "The Insects are out of control! We must intervene!" With that, he sprinted away.
Annie looked at you. "Relax, he will live. People donīt die in this sort of game."
In your backs, a harrowing screach rattled through the forest.
"Surely?"
"There may be other sorts of things. As I said, the Queen might be an adult Beastie."
The screach turned to words, for a moment at least. "NO! NOT THERE! PLEASE! Not my little toe."
