Wondering exactly what could be lurking on top of the shack which could possibly warrant an exit to the roof, you wander over to the ladder and give it a once over. Quite sturdy looking, the ladder is unremarkable in most every other way, save for the thick coat of dust settled upon it which tells you that it must be used on a rather infrequent basis, if at all. Figuring that no harm could come from poking around up on the roof, you climb the ladder and push at the hatch in the ceiling. After some token resistance, the hatch pops upward and you are greeted by the familiar sight of blue sky and sunlight.
Climbing up the remaining portion of the ladder and out through the hatch, at first blush you seem to have merely pulled yourself up onto a perfectly ordinary roof. However, as you slowly turn and survey the visible area of the park, something at the corner of your vision catches your eye. Turning to get a glimpse of whatever it is, you are surprised to find another ladder, this one attached to the roof a bit behind the hatch you climbed out of. Looking up to see where it ended, you are shocked to find that it stretches up into the sky with no visible end in sight. Thinking that such a thing is impossible, you waltz over to the ladder and attempt to give it a good shake, finding it to be not only solid, but immovably so. Intrigued by this mysterious ladder, you walk around it giving it a thorough examination, whilst idly wondering why you couldn't see it from the ground when you were entering the shack.
Feeling a bit like Jack from 'Jack and the Beanstalk', you look up into the sky and wonder what the ladder might eventually lead to. Some floating island? A dirigible of some sort? Nothing but a steep and very fatal fall? Unsure of whether the indulgence of your curiosity is reason enough to climb a ladder leading to god knows what, you look back and forth between the hatch heading back into the shack and the ladder to the sky and try and decide which to take.
