"Greetings, Lucy", Brick said to you with a nod, "Enjoying your first victory, I see?" He didnīt sound as offish as before, so you were on guard even more.
"We do."
He paid for the tickets, buying one for himself. "You found already out about the powers of your Crest", he stated with a glance at your Heatguana Annie. "I must apologize for not telling you right away. As my master said, better show than te- ..."
It was at this moment, that Racer noticed Brick in full. She shrieked "Evildoer! Bad guy!" at him, coming to your aid - just as he flipped right round to her, grabbing her hand and taking a knee.
"My, what a beauty you turned out to be! What grace, what angelic voice! Love, please forgive me for being so rude to your trainer!"
Racer was taken aback by that. She tried to pull back her hand, but was too much unnerved about the whole situation to muster her full strenght.
"Donīt hurt him", you instructed her, "for now, at least."
"What is he doing?", she asked.
"Trying to hit on you", Annie chimed in.
Racer pulled now free, with more determination. "Hit me? I would hit first!"
"Of course you would." You had been worried at first, Racer wouldnīt no longer have been her former self, now with her being a grown-up. But she was still her, you had no doubt. You hooked up with her. "Letīs stopp that for now and go in, we are gathering a crowd."
You went in with fast pace, almost hoping Brick would stay out. But Josh, hanging from your back, informed you: "Bad guy still following."
"More strange than bad", you corrected softly.
Annie, with short legs jogging at your side, confirmed. "Yeah. By the way, what do you think was I for him, chopped liver? I evolved into legal age just in front of him!"
"Maybe he is more into the nice ones." As he catched up to you, you went slower.
"Ahem. As I was saying", he picked up again, pretty much ignoring Racer after her put-down at him, "My apologies. Besides, you had no questions for yourself, so I just went along, one could say. You were a timid contestant, after your victory."
"Well, yeah, I was pretty much in fear and triumphant at the same time", you admitted with a slight smile, whereas your BeastMon all watched Brickīs every move with vigilance.
"Let me be your guide to make up for my intimidation."
You wandered through an exhibition of stones and bones, and Brick told you a little about special exemplars. Of course in some way or the other, the curiosities all circled around BeastMon, for example triggering evolutions or simply being Beasties of ancient times.
"Blunt question", you said after a while, "Have you watched us with our first Crest-experience?"
"Not many things stay hidden for a Boss in his own city", he remarked. "You could have come back to the Arena."
"So you could jump on me like you did with her?", you nodded at Racer.
"It was a form of self-defense, stopping your Beasties attack without violence", Brick said with stern seriousness. "An old teaching of my late master." He looked at the Pudgybow. "I am very sorry for causing you unease."
Racer frowned, but nodded slowly.
"We are not sorry for breaking your stiffly Dominatrixīs hair", Annie said bluntly, which Brick of course couldnīt understand.
You leaned down to her, whispering: "It was Alabastix. Not everything with an ex at the back is a domina."
"With all of this settled", Brick suddenly spoke, "I have a present for you, besides the Crest. Every Arena Boss will give you one, so remember it. The signature move of their Arena."
"Oh?" You took, what he gave you, and looked upon it. "A medal? A sticker?"
"Give it to one of your Beasties, and it will be able to use Rock Rope."
Before you could say more about it, Annie practically jumped at the medal, grabbing it. "Ohooo, show me!" As she got it in her hands, the medal promptly transformed! A weapon formed, a whip out of smooth marble. "Woah!"
You smirked, after your surprise faded. "Look at you. Talking down on dominatrices, but being in awe about a whip."
"My day was just made."
