Martha and Stacy came back from a patrol. An older battle magical "girl" and her daughter a new battle magical girl came back from their patrol a little upset. There seemed to be more and more disappearances every day. Plenty of the demons were apprehended and sometimes the person who was kidnapped were returned... but then were the times the disappearances would be accompanied with a mostly eaten corpse.
Martha's husband John came with a large dinner prepared for when they came back and asked "So how have your two days been?"
Martha said "Same old same old. Few demons down or fled, few people saved, and a few casualties..."
Stacy said "At least my new magical attack works..."
Martha thought for a bit and then said "Just be prepared for it to not be as effective in other fights... Something about new attacks being used at first gives them a boost."
"Oh..." Stacy said somewhat disappointed. The conversation ended up being between the three of them. A supportive husband to her magical girls, the magical girls taking about their day, and the runt of the family Darla sat just basking the glow of her family. She didn't get a lot of attention, and may have been suffering from some amount of neglect... However that was what made it so lucky for Jen.
They didn't pay much attention to Darla who was now entering middle school, about the same time Jen was going to. It had been a few years since the incident, and while Jen didn't want to cause any undo disaster... She couldn't help but internally smirk as she was living with two people who were actively hunting her, and yet their neglect of their youngest daughter would be exactly why she wasn't being found out. At school Jen learned, and since she was just one of those classmates no one noticed or cared about much no one thought anything was strange.
At lunch a bully found "Darla" in an isolated spot in the courtyard and tried to shake her down for lunch money. However Jen looked around as the bully said "No one around to help you, just hand over your money and don't even think about tattling on me!" The girl that was being bullied wasn't thinking about tattling on the bully, but about how wide to open her mouth. While she wasn't expecting anyone to be nearby Jen made her snack quick as she opened wide and just swallowed whole. Her digestive tract would simply have to crush and digest the guy alive. Wouldn't be snacking on another anytime soon or there'd be too many questions, but Jen was satisfied.
After school she went straight back to Darla's home, did her homework, and satisfied with her human meal just waited till dinner where her mother and sister told about today's events and their husband made them feel relaxed. Although this time something was different. The events at work today were minimal so...
"Dear, did anything happen at school?" Martha asked
"Yeah, been awhile since you really said anything here. How's life been?" Stacy asked
This was really the first time Jen had needed to have a decent conversation with her family... How well would this impersation go under scrutiny.
