“Yeah, no! Not on your first day here,” Winona said, yanking your shirt and sitting you down at the table.
“We must insist that you sit with us,” Minnie exclaimed, “After all, you are one of the family now, since you live here and all!”
“It’s no big deal that you weren’t able to help chip in, dude,” Winona added, “I get it, you just moved in and you don’t have any pocket cash at the moment. It’s no biggie!”
“We no judge you,” Frankie shook her head, “well, me no judge at the very least.”
“Humph,” Sayaka sighed, “I suppose as far as males go, you’re forgivable for now. I have only just met you after all.”
“Now there’s a novel concept,” Minnie grinned, “Alright then, shall we tuck in?”
The table was suddenly a bit more relaxed as the roommates set into their meal. Idle conversation and a few laughs were shared between you and the girls and you found yourself able to not stress out about it. Plus, this was an exquisite pizza after all! Maybe a new life in a monster city wouldn’t be so bad.
“By the by, Wyatt,” Welma the lamia witch grinned at you, “I can’t help but wonder just what sort of monster you’ll become. It’s a known fact that any human who lives here for a while is sure to become one eventually.”
“Kinda like me!” Winona said between bites, “I was a normal human too before I moved here as a kiddo. Same with Sayaka. The other four girls were all born as monsters in one way or another.”
“Hey, has anyone seen Mandy?” Frankie asked, “Her pizza getting cold.”
