Kyle stopped, and stood up. "There is still much to do, my love. You said we must stop a plague on the Earth tonight. Well, I thought ahead, and I brought a plague of my own. But this is a man made one."
Kyle went to a nearby door, marked Janitor's closet, and pulled it open. Inside where several canisters. They were made of red plastic, with yellow spouts at one end, and a black turning cap at the other. Written on the side of each canister, in bold yellow, was the word, Gasoline. Kyle turned to Ashley.
"There are several air vents in the gym. We'll take these to the roof, and pour them into the central air unit. Take as many as you can carry.
Kyle and Ashley each took as many as they could carry. The rest would be taken care of soon enough. Using their new found agility, they swiftly made it to the roof, and poured the gasoline in the air unit, holding their noses as best they could.
The last gasoline poured, the moved back to the ground. Kyle waved Ashley away to a safe distance, he returned to the closet, getting one final canister, and a lighter he had set aside.
Kyle took the canister to the door of the Gym. Careful to keep it at arms length, he poured the fuel against the door. He finished by leaving a trail of drops to the outer door. Kyle moved outside, igniting the lighter. He lit the end of the trail, as it slowly caught fire like a fuse.
Kyle quickly rejoined Ashley. The two stood a moment, watching the building erupt into an inferno. Kyle looked at the flames. He had told Gabe he would open the door, but the only door opening for Gabe and Jen tonight, would be the door to eternity.
The two looked away from the building, and out into the night. They stood and wondered what to do next.
What now?
