"I'll figure out a way out of this and put things back to normal," Jeff insisted.
"I guess that means no walk. We'll talk about this again when you've had a chance to calm down," the girl told him, sternly.
"Felicity!!" Jeff's Mother called up the stairs. "We're home, can you come down here please and help me?"
"Sure!" She called back. She looked at Jeff. "Now, you might want to be quiet. This is my room...and if she finds a strange boy here..."
"I'm her son..."
"Right now, you're a stranger," she said.
He glared at her, but stayed silent.
"Oh, and don't touch the Chronovac."
She slipped out of the room, locking the door behind her.
"I took care of her, took her for walks...I tried to show her my world...and she betrayed me..." Jeff muttered to himself. In a sudden fit of anger, he mashed the keyboard of the computer running the Chronovac softly.
Unfortunately for him, his former pet had left another failsafe, set to activate if he tried to mess with it. Suddenly, the room seemed gigantic. He hurried to the mirror on the back of the door, which fortunately went down low enough for him to see himself. He wasn't a dog...thankfully. But he was the size of one. At least his clothes still fit. Although with the reality change, he only had the one pair. "Shit..." he cursed.
