"Probably what was the silliest thing ever to happen in Animalia was the appearance of a 'UFO cult' at Horizon. Though there was no real trouble, it turned out to be something similar to the 'Area 51 raid'. Fortunately, just like the raid, this cult actually wanted to find evidence of aliens working on the Animalia Virus alongside humans. At least no one got hurt, and Animalia even got a few new converts among those, so all's well as ends well, so to speak."

"Probably what was the most popular of the last IAC, apart from the comparison between Olympic Athletes and Animalian IAC Athletes, was the IAC Martial Arts Showcase and Competition at Heiya Island. While more attention on the event was being focused on the females," At that, Vlad collapsed facedown on the desk, again, while Dimitri crossed off another name, again, while saying "Oh, brother.", again, "there was plenty of attention focused on the weapon demonstrations, since some of the weapons that were demonstrated were quite exotic." As an example, Miles brought up the demonstration of the Rajput Chakram, one part of which involved it cutting a pork loin, adjusted to make it as thick as a human's neck, clean in half.

"Now we look back at a few 'older' conversions, one of which was part of Horizon's deals for 'Pride Month" last June." said Miles, just as Rod and Ellie entered. While most of the interview didn't pry too much, or gave expected answers (such as surprise and discomfort at feeling 'straight attraction for the first time'), it was interesting enough to have as 'something new'.

"For our look at new colonies," said Miles, opening up the communication channel, "We'll be looking at some of the new colonies that have been officially started."
The Indian (as in the India subcontinent) Colony was already well underway in terms of the buildings and land. While some of the "stone" buildings were easier to replicate with concrete and molds, there were some stone buildings that would be built the old-fashioned way. Of course, there were some elements of Indian culture that would no doubt be more popular with Animalians.
Probably what was the most unexpected, yet understandable, was the Greek/Roman colony. It was a large enough island to support both urban and farming areas, and in fact did show evidence of habitation from the Greco-Roman era. What was probably the biggest surprise was one of the things that was found there. After finding a strange bronze mask, and cleaning off 2000+ years of grime, it was determined, by the small horns, pointed ears, and beard, to be a depiction of the Greek god Pan.
As for why it had become completely abandoned by the year 500 A.D. (and basically dropped off the map until Animalia came around), it was also easily explainable by the events of the collapse of the Roman Empire. Once Rome began "rotting from within", many people began abandoning Roman villages and returning to Rome.
