Opening your eyes, you glance quickly around your bedroom. Much to your relief, everything is the same as yesterday. Same pillow bed, same room decorations, same house. Perhaps whatever this is has finally run its course.
Quickly running downstairs, you see your parents milling about the kitchen. Leaping towards your food, you quickly scarf it down much to your parents surprise. "Somebodies hungry," your mother chuckles.
"Just anxious to get to school," you say between bites before pausing. "I, um, met someone yesterday. Someone...like me."
Your parents eyes go wide before a wide smile spreads across their face. "Oh [your name] thats wonderful! Whats their name?"
"Her name is Reyna," you reply meekly, despite your fur you think you can feel your cheeks blush.
"A girl huh," your father chuckles. "Yeah remember those days. Well son just be yourself and hope we get to meet this girl soon."
Saying your goodbyes you practically sprint to school, anxious to see Max and Reyna. As you arrive you see the two of them, both now waving as your run to greet them. "You look like your in a good mood," Max says.
"What can I say," you smile. "I'm happy with how things are." You and Reyna now exchange a shy smile as you gaze at one another. Max chuckles, shaking his head before a small smile spreads across his face. "Dont do anything I wouldn't do Romeo."
As Max now heads inside you and Reyna to yourselves. When this first started, you feared you would end up a mindless animal. Forgotten by your friends, your family, erased from existence. Now you've found yourself with perhaps the most perfect girl you could have wished for. "I missed you Reyna."
"A missed you too," she smiles as you both hug eachother tightly. Reyna glances around apprehensively before lowering her head. "Can we talk for a moment," she asks. "In private?"
You nod, following Reyna as she takes you towards a quiet part of the school. You wonder what Reyna wants to talk about? Your pulse quickens at the thought of you two perhaps mating before school. You hadn't had sex before when you were human, would this be how you lost your virginity?
Reyna now stops glancing around to make sure you two are alone. Taking a deep breath she now looks you in the eye. "Theres something I have to tell you," she whispers. "Its just, I...I worry you might not like me after I tell you."
Reyna now whimpers slightly, her eyes growing damp with tears as she nervously shifts in place. "What Reyna," you exclaim. "Of course I'll still like you. I love you Reyna! Your the most beautiful vixen I've ever seen."
Reyna smiles, whispering a thank you before taking a deep breath. "[Your name] I love you too my fox hunk," she says softly. "So much so that I have to be honest with you. I didnt always look like this. I...I used to be.....human."
Your jaw drops as Reyna now tells her sad story. Not too long ago, Reyna had been a regular teenager, just like you. Then one day she woke up and discovered she was slowly transforming into a fox. Reyna didn't know what was causing it. Everyday she woke up looking a little less human, a little more fox and No one saw that she was changing.
Reyna confesses that she was scared. Why was this happening? As you listen to her fears, you realize that these fears were yours as well. You were scared like Reyna, fearful you would become an actual wild animal forgotten by everyone you cared for.
As Reyna finishes her story, she breaks down and begins to sob. She's worried you won't like her because she used to be human. All you can do now is hug her tightly before gazing directly into her eyes. "Of course I still love you Reyna," you say. "Because the something happened to me."
