While October wasn't all the way here, there were still those who were planning, to the annoyance of some, their plans for Halloween. Of course, for Animalia, this mean one of Animalia's biggest events: Spookyville. With over 50% of the US population fully vaccinated, everyone was looking forward to a slightly better Spookyville than during the last two years of the pandemic. However there were a few things going on, mainly with new members, as well as some other, brand new, members.

Shelly and Molly were more than a little peeved that their wedding was being "crashed" by the male polar bear and tiger that they've seen at Claw Coliseum before and after their Claws Crossing Classes, and even more so that these two had been 'assigned' to them for Homosexual Anonymous. However, the two males were really nice, not only for their initial meetings, but also for the long term. While both Shelly and Molly still saw themselves as lesbian, they were becoming more open to bisexuality. There were also some positive "reviews" about the program from members such as Ella and Simone, especially since they were now expecting cubs.

Another new thing was the six newest Stallions, who had undergone a "group tribal conversion". While originally labeled with derogatory terms such as "femboy" or "trap", the new stallions were now anything but. Large muscles, large, equipment, deep voices, the six were among the largest Horse Animalians. Fortunately, not only were their new testosterone levels NOT causing them to become entitled "frat boys", but they were more like "big softies". However, one thing they DIDN'T gain from their new forms was confidence. However, Animalia's Mane-Six-and-One were more than willing to help them gain confidence, as well as some of the stallions in Animalia.

Another thing was happening at Mieni Atoll. A "super-rich" woman named Angelyn (no, not that Angelyn) had chosen Mieni Atoll for her latest real estate "brainwave", an AFS "bed and breakfast", which was best defined as a cross between a hotel and a private home. What got the most attention was the simple fact that her and her daughters were all blonde-haired, blue-eyed, beauties with bustlines that were no smaller than D-cups (in the youngest). While they were still choosing what species they would all become (they had narrowed it down to either a shark or dolphin), the publicity they were generating was already functioning as advertising.

What was probably the biggest surprise, as well as the most shocking event, was actually nothing tied to to things such as health or 'fantasy'. A house near Lyre, which was owned by a group of catholic sisters, had collapsed unexpectedly. While all of the sisters had survived overall, they had decided to become the first group of catholic sisters to undergo conversion. While all seven sisters were aware of them developing RHS, since all of them were 75+ years old, they were still placed on the RHS monitoring list.
The real estate agent who sold the house to the sisters was getting attacked online for "selling a dangerous house" to them. However, these were one of two types: internet trolls or "news sensationalists", both of which were ignoring the fact that both the agent and the real estate business he worked for made it clear that he had already made it clear of all the dangers that went with owning a house built back in the 1910s (lead-based paint, old electric wires, etc.).
Fortunately, there were three causes that absolved the agent of any guilt. During the cleanup/demolishing of the old house, a very severe case of dry rot was found throughout the house. In the laundry room, where the collapse started, the foundation beams (made of wood in such an old house) were found to have wood-eating beetles in them. Finally, since the house was regularly flown over by planes from a, relatively, nearby air force base, and the age of the house timbers had caused a good number of nails to become loose, regular flybys had caused several nails at key points to become dangerously loose. Fortunately, the only ones that continued to give the agent grief were a few trolls.
