You are Akane, a member of the Siblings of Fang and Claw. Taken in and trained ever since you were a teenage girl, you are now a young woman, and through your effort and hard work, you have become one of the most capable warriors of your chapter. That is why you have been chosen for the task that lays before you.
You have been travelling for a few days now, with nothing but a pack filled with essentials. This however, is all that you need. You travel forward, unbothered by the wind and plants brushing against your bare skin, or the small pebbles in the dirt under your bare feet. Your training over the years has made you hardy and resistant to the forces of nature, and at times it seems that you are a part of it, unbothered by the whims of the world around you.
Something that *does* bother you, however, is the recent changes in the world. There will always be people and phenomena in this world that impact the lives around them negatively. However something foreboding that you and your fellow Siblings have noticed is that there seems to be an unnatural *increase* in these terrible occurrences. Natural disasters have become more commonplace. Bandits have become more bold and have begun raiding more frequently. Even the animals have become more aggressive, hunting down villagers with unusual efficiency.
The seers of The Siblings see this as a grave omen of a coming darkness. You know the legends of the Siblings, passed down by the elder members. Time and time again, they have triumphed. However, this time the seers foretell of a greater threat, one that would even cause the Siblings to crumble in their current state. Your mission is to go out and recruit the youths of this world, strong and ready, in order to bolster your ranks and combat the threat lurking in the shadows.
“NO! PLEASE! STOP! HELP, ANYONE! BANDITS!”
The sudden shriek of distress rings out across the trees, disturbing your thoughts. You are instantly on the alert, and swift as the wind, have begun to track the increasingly frantic calls, your bare footfalls not even disturbing the leaves on the ground.
There! On the main road a few feet ahead! You look out ahead and see…
