Kate and Tom returned to the bedroom. Kerry needed to visit the loo once more. Tom immediately took off the jeans “I’ve learnt that lesson”
“How about you put this on rather than parading around half naked in Kerry’s body” said Kate. She was holding a skirt.
“I’m not comfortable in a dress” Tom replied.
“You seemed quite comfortable this morning in the bridesmaid dress” Kate said matter-of-factly. “Put this on before I explain to Kerry how I found you when I woke up”

When Kerry returned to the bedroom she found her twin in a blue gypsy skirt. Kate explained “Tom didn’t want to parade around just in panties. The skirt has an elastic waist. We shouldn’t encounter the same problems as earlier”
In reality Tom found wearing the skirt no big deal. He was already so far past the point of feeling embarrassed in front of Kerry. Tom sat down on the bed and put the socks back on. Initially he felt tingling at knee level but that changed to his foot shortly after he dipped his toes into his running shoes. Slowly the tingling and the changes spread up his leg. The difference was that this time he was not wearing tight fitting clothes. Tom hitched the skirt up so Kate and Kerry could follow the progress of the changes up his legs.
The changes came to an abrupt halt when they reached half way up Tom’s shins. He still felt tingling but his flesh didn’t change. He waited until the tingling was half way up his thigh. He remained only male from mid shin down. “It’s not working. I still feel tingling but I’m no longer changing”
It was Kerry who figured out the problem. “That’s because the last person to wear the shoes was you just as you are right now. When you took the shoes off before the changes had only reached this level. You were essentially me with male feet. That’s the body the socks have changed you back into”
“Of course!” said Kate “We should have thought of that. The socks work but we’ll need a different pair of your shoes”
Tom wasn’t sure he understood. He had a puzzled look on his feminine face.
Kate looked at him “What’s another pair of shoes you have worn lately? Not these and not the shoes you wore yesterday”
“I wore my black shoes on Tuesday when I had to go to head office”
Kate was already searching in Tom’s side of the wardrobe “These?”
“Yep”
“Okay keep the socks on and put these on”
