Steve awoke in an unfamiliar environment. He could feel that he was sitting on a bed, it was soft and springy. He could see the blinds were shut blocking light from entering the bedroom. Even so he could make out a closed closet, a desk near the windows with a mirror, a dresser, a desk with a laptop, and what looked like a table with a television. It was one of the old ones with a big back and built in vhs player.
Steve got up and walked over towards the lightbulb. Something felt off. It took longer to reach the switch, though not by much.
Once the light was on he made his way over to the mirror. He soon sat down and looked at himself. He looked different. It soon clicked that he looked like the girl from before. Short, petite, long red hair. Someone who looked shy and as though they were a middle schooler.
This didn’t seem as though it was a good situation. His life was being occupied by someone else. He decided to get the laptop off the desk and check it out. It appeared she left a notification for you.
As Steve read through he got updated on the current life situation, current events, and how to fit in with things. Steve looked at the book marks and learned how to get ready in the morning.
Before going further he got on the website and tried to find a way back. He didn’t see him listed anymore though. Rather than risk something worse happening Steve decided to make due with the current situation for now. “I guess I am now Amy” he, now she, thought to herself.
As she got ready in the morning her muscle memory helped guide her. It was a school day so Amy got her uniform on. Then she got breakfast.
Before leaving for school she packed her bag and got her size 6 shoes on. The books confirmed her middle school status. Grade 9.
Steve figured he would try and do a better job with Amy’s life than Amy had, and hoped Amy takes care of Steves life.
