Shortly after leaving the woman's house, Daniel and Jason parted ways and headed home. As Daniel walked, he couldn't clear the foggy feeling in his head. For whatever reason his memory of the past couple days was extremely distorted. He had odd gaps in his memory that he couldn't recall.
"I must be exhausted." Daniel muttered to himself. And indeed, he did feel tired. As he got closer to home the tiredness seeped in more and more.
Upon arriving home, Daniel said a hasty hello to his siblings and mother before heading upstairs to his room. He desperately needed some sleep.
As he headed up to his room, he heard his mother calling "hi honey, where did you get these cookies from?" Daniel just mumbled about the new neighbour down the street before heading into his room, collapsing onto the bed and falling asleep.
Daniel wasn't sure if it was minutes or hours before it all came back to him. The women down the street. The spell. The cookies. Everything.
Daniel scrambled from bed and raced for his door.
