"Come on Ty, hurry up!" Steph said impatiently.
Ty bit his lip. The ranger looked good, but he wasn't sure about playing a girl -- and besides, more magic was really called for. But... a wizard or a cleric? Healing magic was pretty vital, but a wizard's fire-power was undeniable. Or... what about a druid? Ty began shuffling through the pre-made sheets to see if there was a druid.
"C'mon, man," urged Aaron. "We're all waiting on you!"
"Yeah, this game could be really fun," chimed in Eric, a distant look in his eyes as he imagined his buxom rogue babe.
"Just a minute..."
A minute passed. Ty had just finished confirming that the only pre-made druid was a Gnome, which didn't sit well with him. And he was pondering drafting his own when there was suddenly a flash of light.
Then... darkness. Ty felt himself floating, or falling slowly. Drawn towards some unknown destination. He tried calling out to his friends, but there was no response. He felt... dream-like, oddly distant from his situation. He did not realise that the Game had made a choice for him, and that he was about to be cast in a random role, possibly far away from his friends.
Until he felt his body begin to change into...
