A funny idea popped into his head when he was deciding what to do. What if he introduced his own DNA to Jack and vice versa. Ah yes, the classic role reversal, or in this case, the classic life reversal. He could see it now. Jack getting skinnier and nerdier while he gets stronger and hunkier. Derrick couldn't wait to see Jack being the one getting pushed around and ignored. He also couldn't wait to be the one doing the pushing and ignoring this time.
The one thing he was worried about with this idea was any mental changes that might occur. Specifically, their intelligence getting swapped in the process. While Derrick wouldn't necessarily mind just having above-average intelligence, he wouldn't be happy with that either. The real problem would be if Jack got his genius intelligence. He might be able to figure out a way to reverse the changes if that happened, or worse. His brother could find a way to make an even more drastic change. Still, Derrick hadn't tested this formula on humans yet, and Jack was going to be the perfect guinea pig.
Derrick quickly got to work preparing the base of the formula before adding his DNA into the mix. Then the younger brother snuck into his older brother's bathroom and took some hairs off his brother's razor. At least he hoped this was his brother's hair. If Jack took the formula and showed more intelligence than usual, then Derrick could reverse the process by preparing a second formula for Jack to ingest. If not, then Derrick could take the formula himself and proceed with his plans of stealing his brother's body and life.
After a while, the potion containing his DNA was finished. Now all he had to do was slip this into his brother's drink. Derrick snuck outside with the concoction in hand and spied on his brother and his friends. Quickly he spotted his Brother's Powerraid bottle but still needed to wait until he could slip it in without Jack noticing. While he waited for the perfect moment, he couldn't help but think what life was going to be like if his plans work out perfectly. Him being the popular football star at the school that everyone respected. Football huh? Hopefully, he would be good at that or even like playing that when their lives did swap.
It was then Derrick spotted Jack having an argument over some football rule or whatever. Derrick immediately seized the opportunity and spiked his brother's drink with the formula. Now all he had to do was wait until Jack took a drink, and then all Derrick had to do was observe the changes from there.
Well, assuming that Derrick's plans don't go awry, at least.
