"Aria?" asks Sarina hesitantly, keeping her spear at the ready, but lowering it down to not come off as agressive the moment she sees your face.
You want to run to her and hug her, but the moment you take a step towards her, she raises up the spear in an instant reaction. So you stop moving and just nod. When you do this, Sarina drops her spear and moves to you this time. "Holy... what the hell happemed here? How are you... no, that's not important right now. I'm so glad I found you. I... everyone thought you had died."
Now Sarina was crying as well, and you are not sure who is consoling who at this point. Then Sarina breaks out of the embrace and opens her bag. "I got a beauty potion with me as always, though I am not sure if it will do anything to help you. If you want, you could try it."
You accept the potion from Sarina. You have drank this before and aside from clearing up your skin a bit and removing all of the dirt, scars and callouses, and making your skin softer and your hair silky, it didn't usually have much of an effect on you. But that was a given since you had a high natural beauty. This potion could turn an ugly person into a gorgeous person, but only make some minor inprovements to already beautiful people after all.
The issue is how the brewer gauges beauty. If the one who made the potion found a certain body shape attractive, then all potions would align to that shape. Or if they liked red hair, all user's hair would turn red for the durration of the effect. The one rule though seemed to be that it had to work with only what was there. It couldn't regrow lost limbs or change species/race. Unless you already were part of said "beautiful" species/race, and then it would just enhance those features, but would never fully remove the "ugly" ones either.
So you were not confident in its effects on you, but you didn't want to give up without at least trying it out. So you drink it and wait to see the effects.
