“Shit shit SHIT RUN!” Your heart and mind races as you, your girlfriend and another man run up a stairwell, and close on your tails is a small pack of werewolves clamoring up the stairs. Though maybe some context is in order…
You are David Harborrow, a 24 year old man who has recently graduated college with a degree in Accounting, quite the accomplishment! This trip was supposed to be the time you propose to your girlfriend, Klara, but it seems fate would have other plans. You brushed off those reports initially, planning an on the spot trip with your potential wife to be. But as soon as you arrived things went haywire, and after a few close calls your small entourage that was originally 6 strong has been chased up a metaphorical tree. Now, back to the action…
After reaching the top floor you swing open the door and get everyone through and slam it shut, with the wolves close behind your group needs to think, fast. Luckily you spot a sturdy door that seems to lead to a service room, plus the well furnished hallway can buy you some more time. You and the other man start to move a large cabinet and prop it in front of the door, but as you do so the door bashed open causing it the cabinet to topple over trapping the two of you under it. Desperately you try to dislodge your leg, but it’s no use. The wolves start to burst in, with the other man being yanked out into the mob screaming the whole way, you start to panic fearing you will have a similar fate as you can already hear him being raped in the stairwell. Fortunately your attempts to get out from under the cabinet finally proved fruitful as it gave way and let your leg slip out from under it, unfortunately it has also attracted the attention of a massive she-wolf, seductively grinning as she picks you up before you can crawl away. It raises you into the air so the two of you are at eye level, it’s green eyes gazing deep into you as she licks her lips. You can hear your Klara screaming your name behind you and you try to motion her to get out of there, but it is interrupted by the wolf bringing you in for a massive kiss, it would seem your fate is sealed. It’s tongue punches deep into you as your fluids mix, you try and push her off of you but you are unable to match the wolfs strength. You close your eyes as it pulls you closer, you think of Klara and pray she escaped. Then out of nowhere a lamp is smashed into the wolfs face causing it to drop you, then your girlfriend yanks you into the service room and slams it shut. With the door locked tight you slump to the ground knowing that you will probably turn soon. “Klara, I’m sorry…” she looks over at you with tears in her eyes, “I know, but I couldn’t leave you there, I just couldn’t!” She sighs as she plops down next to you, “At least we are still together…”. You can hear pounding at the door, and thankfully it remains intact, how long that will be the case is unknown. This was supposed to be the happiest moment of our lives, but now it will be your last as thinking human beings, the thought of you turning and doing it to her scares the hell out of you. In that moment you wish you had something to jab into yourself or off yourself with, you don’t want to hurt her. You finally speak up, speaking between labored breaths, “Klara…. I think it’s too late for me, I’ve been infected…” she then puts a finger to your mouth to shush you and gives a tight hug, “I know…. I know…. But I’d rather die then let you go through it alone.” you both sit there sobbing, waiting for the inevitable…
