The morning comes and peaks through her curtains to wake her from her slumber. She takes a deep breath and start her morning routine. 26 year old Shauna Moore is one of the happiest women around because she is engaged to a handsome man, one that her family approves of, and one that is everything she was looking for in a man. She’s known about the were beast since she was a young girl, her aunt and cousin being one. Her best friend since middle school is one, and they are still close. Now, her man is one and she’s glad he’s ok with her knowing. After taking a bath and getting her hair straight, she gets a phone call from her cousin.
“Hey girl, what’s up with you?”
“You know how it is Denise, my life couldn’t be more right than it is now. Derrick proposed, my job gave me a raise, and the wedding is already planned and prepped. I’m going to meet up with my boo for breakfast, give my big old teddy bear some love.”
“That sounds like a normal morning alright. I’m happy for ya, girl. It’s about time you found a man. But, on a serious note. You know he’s gonna ask you about that, right?”
“Yeah I know, you think this is the time?”
“I wasn’t born yesterday, and I know how it is. If you want kids, you’re gonna have to say yes. I don’t know everything that you know, but that’s a fact. You can’t keep swerving around this like Tokyo drift cuz, you gotta commit! Keep your man girl!”
“Alright, I get it! How’s aunt Sheila?”
“Getting lost in the woods, I swear that woman gets more senile every year. You’d think being a werewolf would help her stay young and avoid illness, but she’s still terrible at directions. I’ll give her five minutes before I drag her back here myself. Just give my words some serious thought, ok. I love you girl.”
“Love you too Star, talk to you later.”
Despite her happy occasion, Star was right. She would eventually have to choose whether she would become a werebeast like her boyfriend (betrothed) Derrick. She knew people like her cousin Star and aunt Sheila that were werebeasts, but she’s also got people like Melody, who’s living on her own away from everyone because her family didn’t approve of her being a werebeast. How was her job going to treat her? Would her body change drastically to house here new form? Would Derrick leave her if she said no to transforming? She knew if she did, she would have to fill out tons of paperwork and change her medical info to reflect that change, but was she ready to do that? With all this on her mind, she put herself in something nice, grabbed her purse, and left her apartment to head to her favorite breakfast spot to meet Derrick.
Arriving at the spot, she spotted him, dressed in a blue button-up collared shirt and slim pants that accentuate his thighs and butt. Derrick is an 6’5” tower that is built, with muscles that pop underneath his shirt, well-defined abs, toned thighs, a tight butt, and a very neatly trimmed beard that goes well with his cut. In a soft but deep tone, he notices her and waves her to come closer saying, “There she is, and looking oh so fine this morning.” She couldn’t help but laugh, he was always such a clown, but she loved that about him. He was a romantic clown, and he had such a way of making her want him so bad.
