“How — what — but — but — how can — how does — ” I stammered, falling backward slightly.
“I was born a centaur,” she said, slowly turning her body to face me. “I use a magic spell to compress myself down into a human shape at school, but you don’t know how good it feels to get out of there and let everything out again.”
“But — but — how — ”
“You wanted the truth, so now you have it,” she said. She lifted up the bottom of her blouse a bit, revealing where the light brown fur of her lower half blended smoothly into her skin. “See? This is all me, head to tail. And now you understand why I turn down every human who wants to date me.”
I shook my head. “But — you’re showing me.”
She lowered her shirt again, and grinned at me. “Why yes, yes I am,” she said.
