Jeff had no choice but to follow the rest of the slaves as he marched towards his masters... No! Caius' home. Jeff tried to focus on his current situation but it seemed that it was hard to distinguish his original memories with the ones from Remus. Which also meant that he also picked up on a few of Remus' mannerisms which was why Jeff only felt the desire to accomplish the task of taking his master home. Jeff felt the sun burn his skin as he dragged the carriage across the city until they arrived in front of an Ancient Roman House.
Jeff could recognize its similarities with the ones he had seen in his textbook before in History class. From his intution, he believed his mast-Caius was from an affluent family or at least very wealthy. Jeff stood in place as Caius stepped out of the carriage and onto the ground. One by one, all the slaves pull their chains off the carriage until six slaves, including Jeff who had mimicked their actions, stood still waiting for their Master's orders.
"Now I believe that all of you know your destined locations," Caius said as the slaves responded with an affirmative but raspy "Yes Master". "Very well, I need to take my new slave on a tour before assigning him his new role, so I instruct all of you to your positions," Caius said and soon all the slaves had entered the front yard of the house before spreading to different locations.
"Gah!" Jeff yelped as he felt a sudden yank on his chain. Caius had pulled on his collar and the sudden sensation had brought him back to his own position at the moment: Staring directly at Caius!
"Now I will only ask you once but you better not become distracted anymore while I am speaking to you," Caius said with an icy stare. Jeff felt that he should be angry at the boy not much older than he was commanding him as if he was just a pet, but Caius' eyes made Jeff tremble in fear from the recollection of the cruelty his prior masters had given him. "I will now lead you through my home, I hope you are intelligent enough not to trifle with any of my belongings nor foolish enough to steal or mess my home. Any such attempts will only result in a very cruel punishment," Caius continued as Jeff made sure to keep gazing at Caius eyes despite his fear coarsing through his body.
Caius yanked Jeff's chain and pulled him toward his door as if he was simply returning from a walk with his dog. Jeff entered his master's home to see its impressive interior before taking note of a scroll of papyrus laying on a nearby table. While mostly bare, Jeff could find some text he could barely read from his limited learning of written Latin as Remus to find it said: Roman Slave Tunic.
Suddenly, Jeff recalled the warning he had not paid attention to and realized that he might now have a method of escaping his current lifestyle. Jeff then realized he would need a opportunistic moment to find a chance to write on the scroll that he assumed was the Chronivac in a different form. Jeff continued to look at his master attentively... Caius as he began to plan his escape.
