You wake up one Saturday morning feeling groggy. You want to sleep in more, but it's already 10 am, so you throw the covers off and force yourself up. You have nothing planned for this weekend, so you spend your morning routine thinking of what you could do to kill time. You walk down to the kitchen for breakfast, but you notice a small wooden box on the table. On top is a blue logo painted on with the words 'Groin Hotel' in red. A misprint of 'Grain Hotel' you figure.
You've never seen this box before, but your curiosity has been piqued. Opening it, you find nothing but a small business card. Upon closer examination, it doesn't have any sort of contact or location info. Instead, it just has the logo from the box (with the supposed misprint) and a note on the back in pen. It reads "Want to have a day or two of fun? Just say the phrase 'A view from lower down' for a new spin on your old self!"
This has to be the weirdest thing you've seen all year. But, you consider it for a minute. After all, you don't have anything to do this weekend, and you're curious about what it will do.
"A view from lower down," you say aloud.
The moment the words leave your mouth your vision goes dark. You feel fabric pressing against your face. But, attempting to speak again doesn't work. In fact, you can't even move your mouth. Or your head. Then, as quickly as it was gone, your vision returns, but something feels off. You feel short. Everything looks a lot taller than usual.
As you stand idle in thought, you bring your hands up to your face, but to your surprise you can't see them. You reach out to the counter and touch it, then slowly move your hands down. As they move lower, they move into view from above. You are still pretty confused, so you decide to look in a mirror.
