As I looked at the mirror of possession again, I smiled as I looked at the cute face that I now owned. She looked so peaceful and happy and the artwork only made it better. Normally in manga it's black and white but I was lucky she was colored in the mirror. When there was coloring in the manga, it looked even better and my surrounding had that shiny look.
"I'm Himari Takahashi and I'm special because I'm a Mirror Mage!" I said. Trying to imitate a recurring quote that the character would say.
"Hmm... [yawn]. It was so dark."
Huh? I heard a voice similar to mine. Well the one that make me sound like Himari. I looked around to see if anyone entered the room but there was no one. The door or window were not opened at all.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Eh! I should be asking that!" said the disembodied head in the mirror.
"Wait what?" I asked.
This can't be happening. Normally these heads don't talk but for some reason she could. Maybe it's like how when I said my name, I return my body. Would saying Himari's full name to the mirror awaken her head? This could be a way for me to interact with the Mirror Mage herself but this seemed wrong.
"What am I doing here?" Himari asked. "I can't feel my toes!"
"Uh... Hisako Takahashi!" I said.
Hisako for the record was the name of Himari's mom and it came to mind. The Himari head grew dormant again as her face grew older as her hair changed to reflect the look of her mother. A Japanese woman with brown hair tied up in a high pony tail. Thanks to the artwork, she looked rather young and beautiful for someone her age.
God that was weird but I got to test this out. I called forth Himari's head once again by calling her name but did it a second time the moment the head appeared. Upon doing so, her head was awake again.
"Gah! I'm awake again!" Himari said.
"So um... hi," I said.
"What did you do to me?" the disembodied head asked.
"Well you see... I'm possessing your body because I'm a fan and did not expect any of this," I said. I hope saying I'm a fan would distract her a bit.
"Oh a fan?" Himari asked as she blushed. "Well um... don't do anything wrong with my body! But I want my body back! Fan or not! This is too much and I did a lot of insane stuff!"
"Look. I promise to return your body. Just wanted to experiment with this magic mirror I found," I said.
"Fine but I want my body back," Himari said. "I'm scared."
Despite being a magic user, Himari was still a kid. Potentially in her late Elementary School years at the youngest. The story did remember that at times but it appears that I ended up in a serious arc rather than the happy stuff I'm familiar with in the series. I got to do something about this, but what?
