"I changed my mind!", you declared promptly, grabbing the orange lens from the table and holding it in your hand like a divine blessing. "Letīs declare war on cheaters by using the powers of cheat against them, so they will feel miserable the same way we do!"
Annie clapped slowly, Baby-Racer yawned and snoozed off. Belle nodded furiously, thankful for being left of the hook of the Training-Arc from Anime-Hell. Josh tilted his head slightly.
"But who with whom?"
"For that", you replied, "we need the power of pen and paper."
"Dungeons and Dragons?", Annie asked, rolling her eyes. "Nerd."
You glared at her, and she stuck out her tongue. After you got a scribbling block, you wrote down the known facts about your sworn enemy. You drew an evil devil-frog at the corner. "So, we have seen his Types. Ocean, Forest, Sky and Arctic."
"Hard-counter for practically anything a newbie could bring to the table", Annie said, her gamer-knowledge once again showing.
"How can he do that, again?", Josh asked.
"Chameleon no jutsu. Itīs not a move, itīs an ability. If he uses a move from another Type, he will change into this Type. He will always have STAB on his attacks, but it can also be used defensively. Itīs a rare thing, and normally an Arena Boss would not use a Beastie like this."
"STAB?", you asked. "You mean, his knifes?"
"No, Same-Type-Attack-Bonus of course, you noob!"
"Okay okay, chill a little ..." You decided to not go into a debate about noobness or not. Not right now at least. "What do you say then, not-noob, about our first try? Any improvements?"
"It was already the best you could do, I think. We just have to find the best combi for our merge." A spark appeared in her eyes. "Of course, I will be part of the new girl, right?"
Josh piped in. "What makes you think the merged Beastie might be a girl?"
She laughed. "Well, if *I* am part of her, she definitely will be. - And Iīm sorry, but there is no way without me. My Volcano counters Forest and Arctic, and you would be only good against Forest. So you are automatically the lesser choice, oh prince of Ercu Forest." She reached over to Baby-Racer, caressing her cheek. "Sadly, the same goes for you. Racie would not be helpful in this fight."
Slowly, Belleīs eyes widened. "So that would mean ..."
"Youīre strong against Ocean and Sky, yes. You and me, sheep." Annie nudged her playfully. "But first, we talk about growing up."
