Rachel looked around the woods for several minutes and was a bit disappointed when no one came up to her. As she was waiting, she turned her head to listen around. Growls and moans could be heard throughout the woods and Rachel's imagination started to fill her head as to what might be going on. She chewed her lip a bit as she listened to one pair of growls that seemed to be close to her. One part of her wanted to head back home and do things properly, but another part of her was a bit curious and wanted to look at the growling couple. She knew that heading towards those growls might be dangerous, but her curiosity won out as she started to move towards the source of the growls and moans.
Rachel stumbled through the woods as she noted it was very dark. The canopy in the trees blocked most of the light that was coming in from the streets and the houses. The sounds that she was hearing were getting louder. Rachel figured that she was getting closer but she still couldn't see the source of the sounds. She took a step closer and she could see something moving not too far from her. Although she couldn't see details, she had an idea of what was happening. The more sensible part of her yelled at her to move back and go back home, but another part of her wanted to get closer to see more details.
She took a step forward and it proved quickly to be a mistake. In the darkness, her foot failed to clear a tree root which sent Rachel stumbling forward. She tried taking another step to catch herself, but she overcompensated and propelled her forward towards the source of the sounds. She landed face-first into something warm, furry, soft, and wet. Her eyes widened as she realized she had just run into a were-something.
