With a free period in the afternoon, Gloria made her way towards Mary Elise's classroom. Thankfully it appeared the young woman had a free period as she organized her lesson plan.
"Um hey Mary uh Ms. McKinnon."
Mary Elise glanced upbfrom her work, giving Gloria a warm smile as she beckoned her inside. Closing the door, Gloria now found herself watching her new teacher. "Hi Gloria," Mary Elise replied. "And you can call me Mary when its just us. So, do you have any questions about the lesson?"
"No," Gloria stated. "Would like to know more about well, your new powers."
"Ah gotcha," Mary Elise stated. "Why don't you have a seat, ill explain."
Gloria did as she was told, pulling up a chair as Mary Elise began to talk. Over the next 20 minutes the young teacher explained her new found gifts.
Following the attack from Casseus, Mary Elise discovered that she would never be able to walk again. The magic contained with Casseus spear had not only severed her spine but made magical healing an impossibility. At first Mary Elise became depressed, falling into despair. She began going to physical therapy, studying medical manuels in her spare time. When those proved to be unaffected, she resorted to seeking Merlins help.
"You'd be amazed what types of things he has," she chuckled. Unfortunately none of those things would ever restore the damage she had sustained. It was then that she discovered a little practiced and seldom used school of magic.
"Psionics," she exclaimed. "Most wizards don't even bother in learning it. It takes an incredible intelligence just to perform the most basic spells."
"Good thing you're a genius then," Gloria grinned. Mary Elise chuckled, thanking Gloria before continuing.
"Psionics is basically the arcane magic of the mind," she stated. "It also doesn't have any physical limitations. So, unlike my body, which is damaged, my mind is in peak condition. The only limits are my own willpower and stubbornness and trust me I'm more stubborn than people think."
"So you've basically become a telepathic wizard then?"
Mary Elise chuckled nodding her head. "Naomi isn't the only comic book geek. Figured if I'm going to be teaching and be a wizard than what better way than becoming a female Professor X. Besides, I'm useing my mental abilities to rehab my body, make it stronger. Hopefully someday I can walk with some assistance."
Gloria simply nodded, thinking back to the time traveling Yuriko and wondering if perhaps Mary Elise would be teaching her skills in not only science but psionics as well.

Natalia now waited outside of the school, gazing at the group of parents awaiting their children. There were certainly quite a few prospects for her to become involved with. Middle age mothers trying to maintain a figure they once had, their bodies trying to defeat the passing of time. Natalia had lived long enough to know no one could beat back time, still she did appreciate the effort.
Watching the various middle age women gathered outside the school, she wondered. Who had Cassie been talking about? Their were more than a few mothers here, some looking better than others. Was it the blond in a business suit with her cellphone glued to her ear? The frumpy looking brunette in sweats? The obese women who appeared to have given up on maintaining her figure? "Just please be cute," she thought.
Bruahing back her auburn hair, she took meausre of herself. She was much more plainly dressed than she preferred, a pair of jeans with a tshirt and sneakers. Also driving an SUV, Natalia appeared every bit the suburban housewife. While larr of the act, she hoped when she found out who the wizards mother was she could begin dressing as herself once more.
As the students now exited the school, Natalia watched intently for Cassidy. The teenage vampire said she would be following the wizards she had chosen out of the school. As Cassidy now exited the school with a raven haired and Asian couple, she waited with baited breath to see whose mother would be picking them up?
Natalia now glanced to where the trio was walking, a wide smile spreading across her face as she gazed at a middle age Asian woman holding an infant. "Oh this is too perfect," she thought lustfully. "A petite woman just looking to experiment."
Approaching Reiko Tozawa she now smiled warmly as Cassidy once more played her part.
"Hi Aunt Nat," Cassidy waved, her Scottish brogue thicker than usual.
"Hi Cassie," Natalia replied warmly. "Are these friends of yours?"
"This is Naomi and Diane," she smiled. Natalia smiled waving politely to the girls before glancing at Reiko. "Hi I'm Natalia."
"Reiko."
"Your baby is absolutely beautiful," Natalia gushed. "Whats her name?"
"This is Yuriko," Reiko smiled. "And she's my niece."
"My mistake," Natalia apologized. "She was just so beautiful I assumed a young woman such as yourself gave birth to her."
Reiko flushed, chuckling meekly as she shyly gazed up at the auburn haired woman. For Natalia she recognized that look, she had flirted with enough women over the centuries to recognize when someone was interested. What concerned her though was the child in her arms. Despite the babies age, Natalia could sense the incredible amount of magic contained with the child. Maybe this was the opportunity the vampires had planned for. To make one of the wizards their own.
