The former mother of the recruited dullahans went towards a salon filled with woman who were gossiping and simply relax from their home duties. The mother herself felt this strange urge to visit this place, as if today was the day she needed to come here. All of her former friends gazed upon her new dullahan state with a horrified look.
"Delia! Even as a recruited dullahan, you came on time!" a woman said. "Though you look younger and stronger."
"Under command of the Dullahan Aednat, by order of King Oberon himself, you are all conscripted to fight the threat of the trolls as dullahans!" Delia said.
"What?" said her former friend.
"But I can't fight!" said a random woman.
"Finally! A chance out of here!" said a worker.
"I care not of your opinions. You will come with me as my sisters," Delia said as she took out her sword and made a quick slash before any of the woman could object further. Especially since one of them had gold ready to use. All of the woman in the room grew armor with their heads carried under their arms. Some of the women were physically altered to be fit for fighting either by becoming more muscular, leaner, or younger. Either way, Delia beat Anya's record with 8 recruits.
"I'm ready to bust some trolls! When do we start?" asked the former worker.
"When we recruit 100 dullahans in total," Delia said. "Tell me, what is your name sister?"
"I need some time to remember... hmm..." the dullahan said.
"Take your time, you just been reborn," Delia said.
"Ah! Gwen! I'm Gwen, milady!" the dullahan said.
"While I report to Lady Aestad, you shall be in charge of this small group of dullahans for the time being as a reward for your spirit. All while getting more of our sisters," Delia ordered.
"Thanks sis!" Gwen said.
"Hey! That's no way to talk to our sister," said a dullahan.
"Oh, whoops," Gwen said. "I don't know what came of me."
Delia looked at Gwen curiously as unlike the others, Gwen had traits of her humanity. At least one that was exaggerated from Gwen's past life. Regardless, Gwen was one of the willing recruits.
...
Much later Delia appeared at a camp with her new recruits. Said recruits went to meet up with their other sisters to make themselves at home. Delia though approached to a campfire with Aesnad, Anya, and Bob. Delia sat next to Bob as always as she felt that she needed to serve Bob specifically at times.
"Is something wrong sister?" Bob asked.
"Oh. Nothing sister," Delia said as she looked at Aesnad. "Milady. I managed to recruit 8 new dullahans from the salon."
"I received ten from the hunting logs," Bob said.
"Impressive sisters. You all beaten my record," Anya said.
"It's simply our duty," Bob said. "Don't let you first accomplishment make you passive."
"Of course," Anya said. "Though Lady Aesnad and I managed to collect 11 today together."
"That gives us 39," Aesnad said. "Perhaps 11 more before we make a policy that all recruits are to conscript one more."
"Perhaps but we may not need to do that with our progress," Delia said.
"I know we will get our 100 soon," Anya said.
"Milady, if I may ask. What would happen if we were to go over 100?" Delia asked.
"Oh! I was meaning to tell you all this. When I sent a report to the king, he said that the mistake will be pardoned if we win this war. In addition, he took pity our of low numbers and told us that any extra dullahans shall be used as back up. An extra 100 if needed in case I were arrogant. While I am grateful, I rather not force any more humans needed to become us," Aesnad said. "You all lost your humanity and will not be able to reclaim it through natural means. In that, I apologize."
"Fear not sister!" Anya said. "We will still serve you. Perhaps after all of this, you will reward the recruits their memories. It is the least you can do."
"I understand the sentiment but if they remember who they were, they may not take it well," Aesnad said. "Not everyone is as kind and accepting as you little one."
"Yes milady," Anya said.
"On the side, I do need help giving myself a new name. I was referred as Bob but it does not fit my new form," Bob said.
"Oh? I actually prefer that name," Delia said.
"Bob has a point. Her stead's name will also be named Bob," Aesnad giggled. "That would only spark confusion. Very well. I now dub thee Bo. How's that?"
"No offense milady, but are you trying?" Bob asked.
"Eh..."
"Fine. I shall be named Bo from now on," Bo said.
"Well, meeting adjourn. We will continue in an hour," Aesnad said.
"Yes milady," the other three said.
"OH! I kind of forgot of a plan I also have," Anya said.
"You are free to speak," Aesnad said.
"Since we did collect children, perhaps we could have them collect their parents or family as well?" Anya said. "But the risk being that we will remind a part of them their humanity."
"This is a desperate time but I will approve. At least the children's family will reunite. As dullahans though," Aesnad said.
"Thank you sister," Anya said as Bo and Delia looked over the little one. Thoughts of their former humanity did bother them a little but they need to brush it off for now.
