Jack looked at the person who had stepped out of the car. It was a man in his early 30s of German descent. His hair was tied back in a man bun, and looked to be about 5’7”. Jack could tell this man had a fair build to him, not overweight but not overly muscular either, but was still a handsome man. This would have been Jack’s type, if he saw this man yesterday. Something clicked in his head and told Jack that this man was Heather. Jack walked up to him. “Hey Heather, how was your evening last night?” He shrugged. “Not too bad. Sorry I’m running a little late, I had to run my son to work.” Jack remembered that Heather had a kid, about his age now, named Connor. Another click happened in his head and he remembered that this kid taught high school math. “Oh, and I think I’m going by Hector now. I think it fits better, don’t you think?” Jack honestly couldn’t agree more. “Hector it is then.” He nodded as he approached the car. Hector hesitated on which door to open. “Should you use my son’s car seat…?” Jack thought about it for a second. “I’d prefer if I didn’t… but it’s probably safer that I do.” Jack grumbled, crawling into the rear seat.
Hector and Jack made small talk during the trip, and while they did Jack learned that Hector’s husband had a job change from the Glitch too - despite being an overweight man, he was now the owner of a local gym. Jack tried to think about his family, trying to see if anything else clicks into place like they did for Hector and Connor… but he couldn’t think of anything. Maybe he has to have some kind of clue about what happened for it to click. He decided to text his brother: “Hey Harrison, just wanted to check in with you to see how you and your family fared last night. As for me, you’re definitely the big brother now.” Due to his small hands and the small talk, that message took almost the entire ride to work to write.
Jack and Hector parted ways for work, but Hector agreed to drive him home afterwards. Jack found that lacking adult distractions like his sexual attraction to a coworker worked wonders for his focus at work - he had never been this on task for this long, though the work took longer with his smaller hands. He eventually got a text back from his brother. Jack looked at it, and it read: “Hey rly ltl bro u got small haha lol my boys gonna make a gr8 bodybuilder now lol n my wife got some huuuuuuuuge boobs lol you gotta visit soon” Jack didn’t think it was uncharacteristic, as things snapped into place for his brothers family: Harrison, his brother, talked like a frat bro all the time, and had an incredibly deep voice. Brady, his nephew, had the muscles of a bodybuilder now, and Nicole, his sister in law had the biggest pair of breasts he had ever seen.
This Glitch was really turning into something…
