“Obviously,” Jackie snarked, impatiently, “are we going to do the ‘experiment’ or what,” she groaned, twirling her hair. She made sarcastic quotation marks with her fingers when she said ‘experiment’.
“Of course,” the doctor said, “say goodbye to your parents. You’ll be seeing them again in exactly two days,” he stated.
“Bye Mom, Dad!” Kennedy said, wrapping her arms around both her parents, “I’m going to miss you!” She said, almost crying,
“Jeez,” Jackie rolled her eyes. She looked at both her parents, she gave a forced smile and barely waved at them, “bye…” she said, awkwardly.
Finally, Martha gave her lone mother a hug and said her goodbye. She then caught up with the doctor and Jackie. Kennedy was still hugging her parents,
“Ugh, c’mon. We’ve only gotta stay here two days. Don’t make it any longer,”
Kennedy finally parted from her parents and said walked to the two other girls and the doctor.
At last, the door closed behind them, their parents’ faces disappearing as they turned the corner.
