Entity #221
Codename: SelfSeed
Self-designation: Choose Your Own Change
Nickname/Alias: CYOC
URL: cyoc.net
Description: CYOC, referenced covertly among G.E.T. agents as "SelfSeed", manifests itself on the earth plane as a collaborative writing website for transformation literature enthusiasts. Its original form is unknown, but it frequently credits its online existence to a being it affectionately calls "YipYap", who allegedly summoned it into cyberspace sometime in the early 2000's. SelfSeed users are invited to "choose [their] own change" by visiting interrelated writing submissions within a branching tree of linked entries. Most newly created submissions are clearly intended to expand on an arbitrary writing prompt established by a previous submission. New submissions can be uploaded by website users at any time, either anonymously or using their preferred online personas. The result is that each site visitor experiences reading her or his own self-customized transformation story, to which continuations may be added as desired.
Known abilities: SelfSeed is primarily noted for its mental alterations on long-term users. One almost inevitable effect is a massive increase in ESP subtype T-4: the abilitity of human subjects to spontaneously exhibit an encyclopedic knowledge of transformative entities, including the ability to predict those yet to be discovered. The second most well-documented effect (exhibited by many if not most writing contributors) is psycho-anomaly R-34 (a subtle reconfiguration of artistic neural pathways toward the production of erotic works).
Physical alterations and reality alterations are rarely reported and never confirmed, but there are multiple anecdotal reports of SelfSeed users being absorbed into the site itself, to live forever within an artificial existence that is subject to the whims of contributing writers. Class 5 investigative personnel have so far been unable to confirm whether any of the handful of SelfSeed characters claiming to be trapped within the site ever existed as human users in the real world.
Containment: No restrictive containment procedures have been implemented as of now. Aside from some subtle but significant mental changes from prolonged use, no large-scale transformative effects have been reliably attributed to Entity #221. Since the entity has a fairly stable reputation as collaborative fiction, the site's massive and highly accurate collection of data on transformative entities is dismissed by the general public as literary fabrication. In fact, the continued public availability of the site is considered highly advantageous to G.E.T. personnel, since newly discovered writing submissions often point our agents in the direction of previously undiscovered TF entities.
Other: SelfSeed is known to be self-aware: much of the writing on the SelfSeed ("CYOC") website explicitly references the website itself. Long-term caution is therefore strenuously advised, even though the entity's lack of containment is not currently considered an imminent threat to G.E.T.'s mission. In early November 2021, SelfSeed was confirmed to have detailed knowledge of our organization when an influx of G.E.T. entity reports began appearing, unredacted, as writing submissions on the site. It is currently unknown whether the contributors were G.E.T. personnel themselves (as in a traditional document leaks) or whether all of these documents were obtained via the ESP-related mental alterations previously described. Research remains ongoing. The Reality Alteration Proactive Use Division is advised to remain on standby until further notice, just in case SelfSeed ever needs to be purged from the public memory.
