Emmett blinked repeatedly, trying to clear the spots from his eyes. “Why’d we take a picture in the movie room anyway? It’s way too dark in here to use that flash, and that antique doesn’t have a off switch.” He grumbled. Jenna rolled her eyes and lightly punched her friend in the shoulder. “Lighten up, Emmett.” She said. “It still turned out great, right everyone?”
“Yeah, lighten up Emmett. You stay that grumpy and Sarah won’t ever want to go out with you.” His little sister Becky teased. Emmett groaned. Ever since Becky had gotten into romance novels she’d endlessly been teasing him about the girl who lived down the block, Sarah. Sure, he desperately wanted to ask her out, but that didn’t mean he wanted his fourteen year old little sister bringing it up every chance she got.
Becky’s twin brother Tim rolled his eyes. “Girls and their romance stuff. I don’t get it. There’s so much more important things to think about, like making varsity next year as a sophomore. I gotta get ready, after all.” He said, Becky scoffing at him. Jenna just laughed. “Trust me, Tim, you’ll feel much differently pretty soon. Right Gavin?” she asked, turning to her boyfriend.
“Totally right babe.” Gavin responded, leaning in for a kiss, which caused Tim to make a face. “Get a room.” He grumbled, causing them all to laugh again.
Alex walked back to into the room, causing all eyes to shift over to him. “Okay, I just got off the phone with the pizza delivery place, and the pizza will be here in like fifteen minutes.” He said. “So, what did we decide on watching?”
“Still thinking it over.” Gavin responded. “We got a little sidetracked talked about the nature of romance.” He added with a laugh. Alex smirked. “I could tell you guys a think or two about—“ he broke off, laughing, as Emmett playfully chucked the remote at him.
Becky picked up the camera sitting on the the counter. “So, what do you guys want to do with this?” She asked.
