With a sigh, Jessica looked for some way to distract them. That’s when her eyes shot wide, and a smile appeared across her face. She seemed to light up inside upon seeing her besties walking toward her!
"Oh like thank God!" She chuckled, looking passed the two boys.
On the left was the Brunette Emma, who Jessica wasn't too close too but she still enjoyed hanging out with. She had good taste, and some of the same interests like fashion but overall she wasn't her best friend ever. However, Emma's cousin Gloria was a different story. The redhead and Jessica had been friend's since middle school and had been inseparable since. Finally in the middle Rhianna, a bit of a bitchy blonde but one which Jessica loved to hang and gossip with.
The three girls walked up to Jessica upon seeing her there. While Emma gave a nod and Gloria cheerfully waved, Rhianna was the queen bee of the group so officially greeted her first.
"Like Damn, there you are Jess! What took you so long?" She asked with a joking sneer.
"Sorry girls, I told you I got stuck babysitting." Jessica sighed, gesturing towards the two little kids beside her.
"OMG they're adorable!" Gloria giggled. "Hi little guy, what's your name?" She asked the younger of the two.
The boy hid slightly behind his brother's leg. "Alex." The young boy responded.
"Oh Alex, that's a cute name. And you?" She asked the older boy.
"I'm Tim, and I didn't even want a babysitter!" He replied, sneering.
Gloria giggled again at the roughly ten year old trying to act all tough.
"Ooo I bet you don't." She laughed, standing up again. She swirled her skirt as she spun around to face Emma. "Can we bring them with us Em? Please Rhi?"
"Ugh, seriously G?" Emma sighed.
"Pleaseeee? Besides we want Jess along for dress shopping so they HAVE to come with us." She reminded.
Jessica blushed and looked down. She felt so embarrassed that she was stuck with this job the same day she promised they'd go looking for dresses. She would've said no, but they were family friends, meaning her Dad's best buds kids. She couldn't say no to them at all. She looked at Rhianna, her fellow blond and fashionista with a weak smirk and a shrug. Rhianna rolled her eyes, blew. abubble with her gum then fixed her hand bag.
"Like fine. They better not make a scene though." She scoffed before walking off. The now larger group followed her, all mostly in groups of two. However, Jessica was interrupted as Tim tapped her shoulder.
"Seriously? Dress shopping? Bleh, that's the worst thing ever I don't wanna go!" He complained.
She sighed. She knew it was unfair for them, but there wasn't much she could do... until she remembered that old camera she held in her hands. She also "remembered" the reason she brought it... for a school project to multitask!
"Tell you what. Take this camera, and take as many pictures of people in the mall as you can. Save all the pictures on you, and if they look good enough then MAYBE I'll take you to get some action figures, okay?" She asked, somewhat mischievously smiling.
The two boys gasped, then looked at each other. Tim swiped the camera with a smirk, briefly muttering "Deal." as he began to look around for targets of his new camera. Jessica smiled, feeling like she just killed 3 birds with one stone. She then returned next to Gloria as the two began to talk guys.
"Tim, are we gonna really get toys today?" He asked happily.
"They're action figures bro, and yeah I hope so... but we gotta make sure these pics are like, the bestest thing ever!" He laughed. "Now, what should I do then..." He wondered aloud.
