Watching at home over a glass of wine, Molly saw how nervous and unsure of themselves her son and her son's friend were becoming in class. As much of a handful as he may be, a part of Molly still loved her son, and she didn't truly want him to suffer, much less an innocent bystander. What's more, their anxiety over the changes were starting to affect their ability to concentrate in class, and we can't have THAT, can we? No, we cannot.
“It's time” Molly said to herself. Flipping through her spellbook, Molly found the first spell which would gradually induce Miles and Victor into the new reality. Everyone's perceptions except for theirs and her own would now be filtered through this new reality. As far as history was concerned, Miles Johnson and Victor Mattingly would no longer exist, Nellie Johnson and Victoria Mattingly taking their places. First as teenage girls, and eventually as lovable grandmothers.

Back in Mr. Schmidt's room the bell rang, indicating that his students now had five minutes to move on to their next class.
“OK Ladies and Germs, see you tomorrow” he announced sardonically.
Miles and Victor blended into the crowd and left Mr. Schmidt's room, rounding the corner to head to Ms. Arroyo's science class on the first floor. As they both descended the staircase, Miles rolled his eyes as he couldn't stop staring at his painted fingernails.
“Hey, nice color, fairy” said some anonymous student in passing that Miles didn't have the time nor the inclination to go after.
“Don't listen to that guy" said Victor, immediately shutting up as his maidenly new voice came out instead his normal male voice. Miles gave the most subtle of smiles to let Victor know that he was glad that Victor understood what he had been going through.
“I just wish that we could find out what the hell is going on” said Miles, his new hair still swishing across his face. He made a feminine gesture with his hand to get the strands out of his face.
“I wish that the world would just forget about us for now” said Victor. “I want to be invisible.”
At the exact moment that Victor made his empty plea, Molly's world altering spell took effect. Reality rippled, and if you paid close attention, you could sense it.
“Did you just feel that?” asked Miles to Victor as they walked into the science lab.
They were immediately greeted by wolf whistles by Adam Ford.
“Hot girl alert!” he said loud enough for everyone to hear. A group of boys looked up and stared lecherously at whom they saw as Nellie and Victoria.
Various other noises and sounds of approval were made, all attempting to attract their attention.
It didn't register to Miles and Victor, self conscious as they were, that Adam and the other boys had been talking about them. They both walked by Adam, with another boy named Reed Morales mock grabbing Miles's ass.
Ms. Arroyo generally avoided the rowdiness of her early morning classes, but in this class she looked up from her notes and glared directly at her pupils with a withering look.
“That's enough, guys.”
Miles and Victor both took their seats, sitting next to each other, with a few other random students that neither boy knew very well filling out the row.
It was when Ms. Arroyo began to take attendance when they realized that something
“Adam Ford”
“Here.”
“Janice Underwood”
“Here!”
“Franklin Keiffer”
“Here”
“Victoria Mattingly”
Victor turned to look at his friend, whispering “Is she talking about me?”.
Miles nodded nervously, and Victor reluctantly said “Present!”.
Victor stared at Ms. Arroyo, who just nodded and moved on. Nobody giggled at his voice, thank goodness.
“Reed Morales”
“Here”
“Diana Petrelli”
“Here”
“Nellie Johnson”
It was then when Miles figured it out. That weird dream about his grandmother last night. Her name was Nellie. The necklace he was wearing? This was HER necklace! This haircut he had? He remembered her having the same exact haircut in his dream! Molly had underestimated her son. He figured it out.
He croaked out an acceptable “Here!” before turning to Victor(ia) to share his theory.
