After running for several hours into the woods, out of breath, Kyle can finally see a cabin. It wasn't any stranger's home however. Kyle knew the person living there, and most importantly knew that the person could help.
A howl was heard off in the distance. Quickly, Kyle runs to the door and bangs as hard as he could possible can, hoping that the occupant was home. Lights turned on inside and he hears someone grumbling on the other end. "Who is it?"
"Its Kyle," he said in relief. The door immediately opens and Kyle falls over. Temporary blinded from the lights, Kyle rubs his eyes looking at a pair of camouflage boots.
"A little late for coming over and playing video games tonight" the voice said mockingly.
"Andrew, thank god your here. You got to help me!" Kyle said as he was getting up. He puts his hand on the boots for stability but failed to realize that the boots were only propped up and stumbles back down.
Kyle first knew Andrew from P.E. class. Being the one a lot of people picked on, Andrew was the only one that stood up for Kyle. The only similarities between them were that they both were loners and that they liked video games. Otherwise they are very sharp contrast. A combination of having a cold personality and being physically buff gave Andrew respect in school. But he didn't bully his way around like many did, he kept more to himself. Andrew took a liking to Kyle and they were friends until Andrew was kicked out of school. No one the reason why, but Kyle eventually found out the reason... Transform or Dare. Andrew's parents had a lot of problems when they both got into a fight and the curse ultimately led to their deaths. Least of all, getting Andrew expelled. Luckily, Andrew inherited a lot of money and decided to move away from it all in the middle of the woods. Occasionally Kyle visited, but their friendship soon evaporated over time, until now.
Andrew gave Kyle a hand in getting back up again. "Its been over a year since I last saw you, Kyle. I take it from the way you came in things aren’t going too well."
Once again, Kyle explains everything that happened and how he manages to narrowly escape death. Andrew, looking away, narrowed his eyes as yet another howl shook through the walls. "So you actually used the curse on Jen, huh. Well I never really liked that snotty bitch that she is now. But damn, I didn’t think you get into this much trouble.” Taking a deep breath, Andrew weighed the situation that was suddenly brought upon him. “Well we’re left with a decision here. Either we can go to town and try to warn as many people as possible or stay here until things start to clear up.”
Kyle wondering of another solution asks, “Well why can’t we just leave town and forget all of…”
“Its because you got everyone, including me, into this mess and I am damn sure in hell not going to run away!” fumed Andrew. Kyle was shocked at this outburst from a typically calm person. Noticing the reaction from Kyle, Andrew started to pace and went on with a more quiet, yet ominous tone. “My parents tried to run away, but it only postponed the inevitable. The curse always catches up, and it will continue to consume everything in its way.”
The realization of the pain he had caused not only to Andrew but to everyone else momentary outweighed his fears of Jen and her wolfish army. With a final thought, Kyle decides…
