He was fascinated by how they treated each other fairly with kindness, and not be horrible to everyone around them. All these years, Ty remembered Dustin and his foster parents being selfish to everyone they met. It still hurt how his foster family never considered him as 'part of the family'.
Ty watched the Palmers, as they washed their hands together. There was also a pang of jealousy inside him, just from watching this family interact nicely; even in this bizarre form.
